It has been noted that If you place a unit and then immediately after make it animate the post_teleport animation, there’s a frame of the unit fully-visible before the animation begins. This occurs even in official campaigns like scenario 15 of Eastern Invasion.

There was an attempt to build a scraper bot that would automatically reupload images from the forums to the wiki, but it shut down, and the page where they got uploaded got deleted; only the WayBack machine has copies of the relevant pages...

I did some experiments and discovered that what caused the problem was not the macro {NO_MAP_DATA}, but rather the lack of a side in the scenario code;
in fact adding any side to the scenario code Bfw does not interrupt.

Hi, not exhaustively tested this but since upgrading to 1.18.1 the logfiles are all empty (zero bytes long).
In 1.18.0 one of the two logfiles created (forget which) did contain something so the behaviour has changed.
As a quick test I launched HttT and got to the start of turn one then checked...

It's not implemented, at the moment the only way to remove objects is to edit scenario file with a text editor.
The reason you can't find the discussion is that the functionality obviously should be there, no-one argues against that, and so it ends up being a single message with some +1 comments....

So, I have a folder on my home computer that, when substituted for the Wesnoth data folder, causes Wesnoth to always reload its data when it restarts (i.e. clear its cache).
I also have some dubious memories of happening an option for that and setting it some months ago.
