Several of our mainline campaigns are in the works for upgrades at the moment, which includes adding characters and enhancing existing scenarios. We are looking for more artwork to supplement these upgrades, including the following:
We are happy to announce that Wesnoth is now able to accept donations on Liberapay. While Wesnoth does rely on the work of dedicated volunteers, no project can function completely cost-free. Revenue from the Apple App Store and from donations goes towards maintaining our servers,...

It looks good at the bottom since the page isnt too long; i had no problem finding it.
There have been numerous important forum posts and wiki articles written by users and developers. We reference these pages a lot, and decided to put them together in a convenient list. ------
Write clearly, be nice to others, and be very careful when posting anything related to politics or religion. When asking for help, remember that everyone here is a volunteer. Prefer editing your previous post over double posting. No animated avatars or graphical signatures. Don’t plagiarize...

The Community Guidelines have been updated.
The Moderation section has been expanded to cover Discord moderation issues.
There will be a few changes in policy in Off-Topic from now on:
Autopruning is no more. All posts in Off-Topic will be preserved in the database and they are now strictly subject to the Posting Guidelines as are posts in all the other forums. (#)
So this topic came up on IRC. I have created this sticky in the interest of completeness. This thread is to post what songs/bands are your favorite right now. It's in the same vein as all the other entertainment threads.
Ok, so I seem to recall that there was a topic a while back in here that had people posting lists of freeware games/just games in general that they enjoyed. I guess the autopruner got it, because I don't see it anymore. I'd like to restart the topic, mainly for selfish reasons; I just uninstalled...

Currently I am playing Mount and Blade II Bannelord with Old Realms (Warhammer) mod. It is pretty good, however sometimes crashes.
A pretty basic question. What books are you reading right now? It'd be nice to have both the name of the book(s) and a short description of it(them), since they might be books no one else has ever heard of.

My answers (I tend to read a bunch of books at the same time):

I`m reading at the moment "Guards! Guards!" by Terry Pratchett.
You can use it for absolutely free, in any way you want - as a part of your games, story, whatever. And You don't have to reward or mention me in any way,...

GREEK GODS AS LOVECRAFTIAN HORRORS – EPISODE 3 – HERMES IS THE GATE, HERMES IS THE KEY
This is a part of our series, in which we present Greek gods - and show how to combine them with the Cthulhu Mythos and use them in cosmic horror stories or scenarios for RPGs. You are free to use all this...
Hi, I developed Mini Wesgame - a browser-based hex tactics game inspired by Battle for Wesnoth, playable right in your mobile browser!
I tested it locally at a Moto G05, a low-spec smartphone, and it runs smoothly.
How do you think Wesnoth will look like 10 years from now? I'm talking about mainline, UMC, the multiplayer scene, the art scene, the website, the coding, everything.
1.) Serious Predictions:
Will there be more mainline campaigns? Will we have more stories from after the fall or before the humans...

I remember reading this post back in 2014. How time flies!
This is not so much "fitting" to this thread, but it refers to games, not related to
wesnoth the game itself.
Anyone remembers the 1990s era? There were quite some browser games. Archmage
from Mari; that continued via The Reincarnation but ever since they added "bots" it
became a waste of time....
The game is Deliantra, so a medieval with magic (sorcery, praying, etc).
The game is ~20 years ago but, in my opinion, it is like the fresh game and, the

RTS wesnoth would be better because a quick silly match in wesnoth takes one [censored] hour

You could try Spellforce 3, the Versus Edition is free as far as I know. Also Wyrmsun, Stormgate and 0.A.D. which might not have the same races that are covered in Battle for Wesnoth.
Hi,
I've been given an obsolete iPhone4 (IOS 7.1.2) which is currently being used as a camera.
It doesn't have a sim but is connected to wifi.
It's unsupported and can't access the app store due to seemingly not recognising 2 factor authentication.
Has anyone had any experience of shoving linux or...

You can use the content as long as you follow the license it's under.

Has anyone else been watching Amazon's Rings of Power series? So far, I'm cautiously optimistic. Here are my responses to some of the criticisms people have tossed at the show. It turns out, many of the critics don't know Tolkien's world as well as they think they...

No one should equate this crap with the works of the master Tolkien.
I'm just being silly, bit I've noticed how much attention is given to female Elves in fantasy games and wondering about other races.
In most fantasy games and litereature there are Half-Orcs, meaning it is possible for Orcs to breed with Humans.
Yet as we have seen in the other thread, Orcs an...

Depends on type of Orc. Orcs looks and behave quite different in various media. Tolkienian or Warhammer orc? Definitely no. Warcraft orc? Maybe.
Currently rereading Tolkien and am paying attention to his descriptions. He's very vague. Orcs are swart (black)...
I love this game. I really wish I had time for it when I was younger and I wish that -when I played it- I had an idea about what can I learn from it instead of just playing, and hence I got an idea.
I wish that wesnoth evolve at the direction of being an "Educational " game where anyone can learn...

I agree with a lot of your general sentiment, but remember that Wesnoth is all volunteers, so there is a serious limit on the work-hours that can be spent on anything. The wiki necessarily takes lower priority than the core program.
For all of its shortcomings, basic WML is very easy to learn and...
I encounter this bug while trying to unstore an Ai side I beleive if someone wanted to recreate this behaviour intentionally, he will need a ton of macro but here we are: the funniest bug ever seen at the previous scenarion, make the AI side persistent then change the side leader and write this:...

How dare you create something like that without telling us about it?
I really want to thank the one who created smthg beautiful and useful like that. I discovered it just today
whats the point of using earbuds instead of speakers if you are alone?
Ive seen a lot of people do this
I use earbuds/earphones only if I need to maintain quiet for other people
otherwise I avoid it because I think speakers are healthier

I used to think this way but I also like to hear all of the small little details of sound that are in my music, many of these things get lost when you put it on the speakers even if these are really good ones, mostly because sound has to travel a longer way and information is lost.
