still require leaving the Wesnoth app to make it happen No, they don't, because you wrote that you want to "click Load inside Wesnoth and then just browse over to where my browser put it" , which means you're talking about saves that you downloaded earlier. If you downloaded them earlier,...

Re: Loading saves from somewhere besides saved games folder?
From a mac user, one choice (I am almost certain that it works, but I haven't tested it yet) is to use the alias option. I hope that helped, will that work for you? I tried creating an alias of the browser downloads folder to the Wesnoth save folder as you describe. The alias does appear in the lis...

Re: Loading saves from somewhere besides saved games folder?
downloading a replay from the forums and playing it back Three possible solutions are attached to this post. If none of these make any sense to you or nothing works, let me know. Thanks, those things make it easier, but still require leaving the Wesnoth app to make it happen. So better, but still n...

Loading saves from somewhere besides saved games folder?
Is there a way to load saved games from somewhere besides the saved game folder (in 1.8.2 on the Mac)? The context is downloading a replay from the forums and playing it back. Browser downloads to its download folder. When I click "Load" inside Wesnoth, I see no way to navigate outside the...

(1-10) 2 (3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? Clear. (4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?...

Re: LOW - The Human Alliance
Hmmm, when I try to load this (1.8.2 on a Mac), I get a "The file you have tried to load is corrupt" error. (I have successfully downloaded other replays.) It's a Wesnoth bug with filenames... I think if there is a space in the filename, it won't work. If you rename the file, it will work...

Re: LOW - The Human Alliance
Replay attached. This is for 1.8.2. You'll want to click "skip animation", or it will take forever, and then you'll probably want to click for one turn at a time and scroll around to see what's going on. You'll probably get an error message if you try to run the replay a second time (seem...

Re: LOW - The Human Alliance
If you don't mind, post a replay. I'm curious to see how this played out (and also how much harder 'hard' is from 'medium').Maiklas3000 wrote:Update... I succeeded in beating The Human Alliance on hard. (However, I cheated with one reloaded turn.)

Re: Scenario Review: LoW 14 - Human Alliance
I did it with 346 on medium, but just I was in bad shape when I hit end of turns (20), don't know if I would have lasted much longer.impossible with 472 gold? I have not yet succeeded.

Re: UI suggestion: Last turn replay feature
How would this work with turn timers/making other people wait in MP? :hmm: Well, I'm certainly ignorant here having never played a timed game, but my take is it's another way people could spend their time, like reading the help, studying a strategy guide, brewing coffee, etc. Yes, probably a real b...

UI suggestion: Last turn replay feature
Suggestion: Add a feature that replays the last turn. I.e. shows you want happened, in particular with your opponents. What happens is I click 'End Turn' and then the phone rings or doorbell rings, etc. and I miss my opponent's turn. Usually I come back and it's fairly clear what happened, but occas...

Re: Option in preferences for "Delay Shroud Updates"
Sometimes I'll restart games or reload games in shrouded maps and I forget that doing so resets the "Delay Shroud Updates" checkbox, and my units end up doing an automove at the beginning of turn that moves the shroud that I can't undo. So I think there should be a way to make "Delay...

And I just looked at your save and you did much better at keeping your loyal units alive than I have. I'm in deep...Thrash wrote:Yeah, I just noticed 239 is less than the 260 minimum...TheBladeRoden wrote: good luck, I still can't beat it with 611 gold
