Re: Which units to field at the Crossroads (hard)?

I should have metioned that the WM was quick, so I kept him in the middle.

Re: Scenario 22: Return to Wesnoth

Version & Difficulty: 1.10, highest Difficulty of the scenario: 2-3 The leader next to my keep recruited 5 Royal Guards and than none more. I kept my units out of range, except for my loyal hoplite and netcaster. They were in the river to lure the enemy next to them and survived the attack. Then...

Re: Item shop for leaders

UMC like "Legend of the Invincibles" and AFAIK "Bad Moon Rising" use an inventory system.

Re: Unit Spamming as a Strategy

The scenario "Valley of Trolls" in AOI is a walk in the park when you recall shaman advancements and spam some other shamans. The same goes for "A Detour through the Swamps".

Re: Scenario 6: The Siege of Elensefar

Kirsten: I tried it on hard too. I set up in the forest next to the shore. When the Orcs came out, I retreated to the woods on the southern edge of the map, so that the first attack took place at dawn. I slaughtered the Orcs on the mainland in broad daylight, while the mermaid priestess, the merman ...

Re: Idea: Recruiting Leaders

This would be a perfect feature of the Asymmetrical Warfare campaign, when you play as partisans: Having more than one leader to represent that partisans consist of several small and autonomous groups.

Re: Which units to field at the Crossroads (hard)?

I had sent the following units:
4 Archers and 4 Fighters (one of each being the loyal I got in this scenario), 1 Captain, 1 Mage, 1 White Mage (survived), 1 Paladin, 1 Grand Knight, 1 Horseman (to exterminate the northern leader - I went for money) 1 Arch Mage (to take out full HP Orcish Fighters).

Re: Scenario 5a: Muff Malal's Peninsula

Just a little note: When I ran Konrad to the signpost, I did'nt get an early finish bonus, just the 40% carryover of the remaining gold.

Re: PoC in Wesnoth

It seems a bit odd to me to implement black humans in a society that is supposed to resemble a mid-european medieval kingdom. (Because of the reasons tekelili mentioned) Would'nt it be better to expand the world and make a new faction of black people, rather than to change the skin colour of a handf...

Re: Elves Besieged (hard/challenging): the Full-Map Strateg

@taptap: Regarding roleplay it's not exactly a nice thing to do. Regarding only strategy it works well. Apart from that the Elves have still enough gold to keep all their leaders alive an shield Konrad from the Orcs. The additional Knight is not crucial for beating the campaign, agreed. But yet it's...

Re: The Battle of Abez

Nice piece of writng. Maybe make the style a bit more similar to medieval-style chronic? Also I think, you confused some latin numbers: On 13th IX 500 King Garard II dispatched an envoy to the Orcish Great Chief, declaring war on the barbaric raiders. 8th V 500 reports reached the King of a huge Orc...

Re: Elves Besieged (hard/challenging): the Full-Map Strateg

I tried your Full-Map-Strategy with a - for me- satisfying result. From the two archers and two shamans one of each was intelligent, so I decided to level them. It did not work completely, but the archer was 1 point from levelling up and Konrad was at the signpost on turn 10. With only one Level-2-U...

Re: Elves Besieged (hard/challenging): the Full-Map Strateg

I watched the replay. Two enchantresses on the first scenario is quite impressive. Just as your detailed explanations are. I will try this strategy one day, since I started to play HttT on hard and I'm stuck at Elensefar.
