Re: Valkiers portraits: Do they speak English in What?
Camerin's hands and arms look wrong. I know it's early stages but better to fix the anatomy now than after doing all the shading, right? In particular: - His right wrist looks a bit wide, especially compared to his hand. - His right elbow seems to be a bit undefined - it's too round given the bone c...

Re: Portraits: Drake Fighter/Burner
I agree that the lighting and fire on the burner is, uh... less than perfect. In addition to what others have said I would add: 1. You may also like to look at the attack icons for the torch, fire breath, and "claws-flaming" (what is that even used for in mainline?). Yeah, they're kind of ...

Re: Age of Trials v0.1.1 (20 Jul 2010)
0.1.1 is up. Yes, I didn't get around to uploading 0.1.0, my internet connection was being stupid. Anyway! This is a fairly major update. The Reptile recruit list has been altered fairly drastically - have removed the Naga Recluse and added two new saurians, a scout with a ranged attack, and a mele...

Re: Zerovirus' sprites for UtBS
I would change the belt / loincloth, in that case. The current one seems to have the same design as the Thug's.Zerovirus wrote:Unlike with the Invader, my main purpose here was to make this guy look less like the Thug. Yeah, he needs more work, but I was kinda hoping for some brainstorming on costume design.

Re: Age of Trials v0.0.1 - Initial release!
*I think that you'd still be following RIPLIB [by decreasing Heavy Cavalry move]. They're given the option of a faster skirmisher/scout, or a slower, more damaging tank/scout. It's somewhat like how knight can either level to Grand Knight, which is slower and beefier, or paladin, wich retains that ...

Re: Age of Trials v0.0.1 - Initial release!
Thanks for the feedback! Regarding Lizards : It may be a the maps I was testing on, but a lot of the 2v2 and 1v1 maps seem to have rivers running right through them, which is enough for the naga to be useful. Also, unlike merfolk, naga are only somewhat hopeless on land. Still, I can see where this ...

Age of Trials v0.3.2 (3 February 2012)
0.3.2 is now available on the 1.10 server. This is the official thread for the Age of Trials, a multiplayer era, created by me, with some graphics and stuff borrowed from various other places (mostly mainline, Era of Myths, and Extended Era) thanks to the wonders of GPL. This is of course also rele...

Re: Valkiers portraits: living in a permenant imagination
No, I think Jetrel is right. If you look at the red lines here, one of her boobs is above the hip (which seems right based on the reference pics and my own anatomy), while the other seems to be above the groin. I think you'd want to move it across to roughly where the blue spot is, like in Jetrel's ...

Re: [option]remove all units of an ally if all the leaders d
Yes. You're missing the fact that in a team game, you might be able to use your leader more aggressively (use it as a slightly-higher-value-than-normal level 2) in the end game knowing that if you lose it, your still have your armies to help your team win. Completely obliterating a side that loses ...

Re: Valkiers portraits: living in a permenant imagination
The shadow going across her right arm looks odd to me. It took me a moment to work out that it was the shadow from the hilt of her weapon. I'm still not sure that it falls across her arm quite the way it should. It could also be that the shadow is too sharp. It appears to be as sharp or sharper than...

Re: stone bridge
Looks better where it meets the wall. I think it still looks a bit odd where the "floor" of the bridge cuts off, though. This may be inevitable - the top edge looks like it cuts across the corner of a rock on the cave floor, and there's probably not much you can do about that. It could als...

Re: Giving a leader with too much move a trait?
Ah, excellent. I should just be able to copy that and change all references to "quick" to "slow" (and the filter, of course). I thought it would be an event, but I wasn't sure where to look - I searched data/core/macros and in unit files, but couldn't find it. Thanks!

Re: stone bridge
I agree that it looks like the bridge has been pasted on top of the terrain, rather than actually being part of it. I'm not sure it's just the colour, though. The arches don't quite match up - the far end hits the wall right at the end of the arch, while the near end finishes the arch and then has a...
