Re: DeCoolest Art
In my opinion, it would be better to just edit the portraits on the left (rather than making new ones), since they look a lot more realistic/polished. Sorry if this was unclear lol, but the ones of the left are the current one, I just added the right ones for contrast. So yeah, comment on the left ...

Re: DeCoolest Art
After over a year break of anything Wesnoth related, I've decided to get back into it. My art skills are probably more dismal than before, so critique is greatly appreciated. These portraits are for my unfinished campaign Kalbruk's Journey , which is about a bunch of bears, some of which has magical...

Variating unit sprites
Looks like I'm not dead. I've taken a break for about half a year now, mostly due to lack of inspiration, but now I'm back (probably). I've picked back up on the singleplayer scenarios idea, and while creating unit sprites for it, I came up with an idea. Everyone knows how the footpad sprite differs...

Re: golem sprites
I'm liking this new version a lot more. Only 1 flaw I see, the cracks. They still seem too prominent. I don't think you should lighten them any more, but make then thinner and fewer, especially on the arms. With the axe, it looks much better with the grey, but I see what you mean with the out of foc...

Re: Kalbruk's Journey
I looked at it, and found nothing wrong. I didn't see any typos, and capitalization didn't matter for me. I played it again, and nothing appeared wrong. It must be something on your end.

Re: golem sprites
That doesn't look half bad. The cracks seem a bit dark, try lightening them a little. It still bugs me how the axe isn't all grey, and how it clearly looks Frankensteined. I know it sounds hard, but you might want to draw in your own axe, or at least recolor it to fit with the rest of the sprite. Ke...

Re: golem sprites
The head is a huge improvement. Although I'm unsure what to think about the skin. On the previous version it looks too clean and statue-like, but know the golem looks more like a zombie to me. Maybe if the cracked clay was a darker shade of grey, it would looks better. Another minor thing I noticed:...

Re: Kalbruk's Journey
Campaign version 0.7.3 Some other issues so far: -Gold carryover: It's still always 80% despite the objectives saying otherwise. -Traits: These traits do not seem to do anything: Instinctive, Headstrong, Regenerates 4 -Scenario 2: When discovering Druntvol, the shroud around him isn't lifted until ...

Re: golem sprites
Just a few things to point out. 1. The soldier has an axe, but both of its upgrades have swords, which seems weird. 2. The axe is in full color, while the swords and the body of everything else are colored grey. 3. The eyes look to high up on the head. 4. The Knight's "skirt", if you will,...

Re: The Archives
works fine now, thanks! EDIT: played it now, and to be honest, i don't know what exactly did you label as 'Mature' content, i don't really see anything, or maybe i didn't notice something, well to be honest, Kill the King seems more mature to me That was supposed to be sarcastic, to go along with t...

Re: Kalbruk's Journey
Version 0.7.3 was released earlier today. It's main goal was to fix a macro bug with the music that prevented you from playing. I also removed most of the custom trolls (excluding the chieftain, fire shaman, and shaman), and the ones given at scenario 4.

Re: The Golden Age (WIP era)
You know, one this I liked about TGA was that it had maps that came with it. It would be nice if you created more, and here's somthing. Make maps tailored to certain factions. You could also make a map with different parts suited to all factions, kind of like a death match. Just quick ideas I though...

It's nice how you changed the position of the spear, it is a good first step. Maybe add a helmet, or make the spear larger.

Re: Edit map description and others questions
Welcome to the forums! You can create your map in the map editor, or you can use one of the multiplayer maps that come with the game. If you wish to create your own map, you can add the starting player locations to where you want them to spawn. To play the map, set up a multiplayer game, and go to &...

Re: Kalbruk's Journey
Version 0.7.2 is out, and adds 2 major updates. It also puts music in scenarios, fixes bugs and typos, and reworked scenarios. Check out the changelog for more details. Major update 1: The black bear line. This doesn't seem big, but as the second of 2 recruitment trees, it seems worthy of its own me...
