Re: Colosseum - first round buy discussion
I've never completed colosseum because no-one will stick out the hour long turns towards (what I presume is) the end.Pentarctagon wrote:kind if off-topic, but has anyone else had the last wave lag for an ungodly amount of time?

And the horseman doesn't have cold resist. Humans aren;t lizards either, but they don't have cold resistance (and the HI-line actually has weakness) so the question remains.Aethaeryn wrote:Because horses are not lizards.

Its grasp of backstabbing seems to be on and off. Sometimes I think it just backstabs inadvertently while making zoctraps.

I assumed nagas have cold weakness so that saurians augurs can fight them better in water.

Re: Lore Collection Project
True. But all races use swords, so they must have a pretty good grounding in smithing, and as far as I can tell what makes this forge special is that it's magic, not that it's particularly well made (can forges even be particularly well made?).

Re: Lore Collection Project
Hmm maybe if the forge was made by drakes and the dwarves placed magic on it afterwards. It's a thought. Conversely, maybe the Saurians made the forge and the dwarves magicked it up. Or maybe it was humans. Hell, it might even be elves. Apart from the fact that Drakes breathe fire and the forge is ...

Re: Looking for criticism on Fall of Wesnoth story and dialog.
"racked" wouldn't work in the sentence. And to me, it carries a bit more doom than "wreck". "Wracked" is to "wrecked" as "annihilated" is to "defeated". - the Pupp Yeah, I don't think you meant "wreck", but I was unaware of the w...

Re: Melinath's Descriptions: Drakes
For the burner, you've written "firey". I suspect you mean "fiery". I like the imagery for the Fire Drake, but the description seems a little clunky for reason which are hard to pin down. If nothing else, try changing "These drakes have devoted their lives to their inner fir...

I'm pretty sure "wracked" isn't a word, actually. Either "racked" or "wrecked", probably the first.Hushpuppy wrote:Between 673 and 955 YW, the Kingdom was wracked by famine and civil wars as one petty warlord fought another to possess the crown

What's with the unjustified Baldras hate? Baldras (L) - 5 (+1) Angarthing (THoT) - 7 Mal Keshar (DiD) - 5 Delfador (DM, HttT) - 9 Thursagan (TSoF) - 7 Kapou'e (SotBE) - 10 Haldric (TRoW) - 4 Jessene (TRoW) - 4 (-1) Tallin (NR) - 8 I agree with the "Haldric: generic heir hero" thing, except...

Re: New Maps and AI Practice
It was multiplayer so I didn't want to spend forever on my first turn simply counting hexes (Zzz), but it lead to a completely botched BO. I believe that before you join a game (certainly before you create one) the number of hexes in the whole map is roughly given to you in [1]x[2] format. Also, if...

It's a species, not a nation. Yeah, that was the ambiguity here (hence "I believe"). Unlike in the days of the Northern Alliance, there's no indication that I saw that the orcs aren't one large nation of orcs now. It's just the difference between "the Army of the Orcs" or "...

Re: Leveling Choice: Grand Knight vs. Paladin
Firststrike matters very little when units with high damage and hp have it. Since any unit attacking it is likely accepting it will take the full retaliation, and no standard era faction units have swarm, hitting before or after usually does nothing to affect the outcome of a fight. maybe it might s...
