Re: Legend of the Invincibles: Part II, Chapter VIII, S1 - Mysterious Invasion
I am playing it right now on max difficulty. 18 turns available to kill all invaders; new groups spawn. I can take them out, but not if they keep on spawning; and 18 turns is not enough. What annoys me by far the most is that there is no real preparation for this. All my old units are unavailable an...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I think I found a small bug. On the map where units take ice damage from the snowstorm, the units just seem to die (when low hp) without getting "announced" that they died, e. g. not showing up in the statistics. I first noticed this when suddenly my celestial messenger was gone. Then, I j...

Re: I'm creating a Free Software Slay the Spire and I am looking for collaborators
How long did it take you to create it? What languages did you use? Probably JavaScript I suppose? On the UI, I highly recommend an additional entry or something "start game with defaults" or like that. When I clicked on it for the first time, I got some options and the "Start Game&quo...

User interface improvement: allow users to scroll through abilities, but, in general, scroll through any long listing
I could file this on the github tracker, but I thought I should add a discussion first here - more people seem to use the forum than the github tracker. I am playing the epic campaign again with like 200 scenarios or more. The one with tons of items and customized abilities and Belzebub and what not...

Re: The wiki that almost no one notices
I try to help maintain and update wikipedia in regards to some articles that I feel need improvement. Mostly just via comments, but about 1 out of 100 changes I also make on main articles. I tend to comment my changes in the discussion-page. I never used the wesnoth wiki. I have no idea whether I ev...

I wonder if we can convince Iris to add a third campaign of epicness as follow-up here one day ...

Re: For Power (0.6.5.3)
Sometimes some scenarios are oddly difficult. I don't mean this in regards to the campaign here, but I remember a few years ago I was playing a scenario for a cave, where there were too many enemy units. I could not defeat them. A few months later I then read on the wiki that one should use units su...

Re: Possible to make mouse pointer your actual finger?
Interesting idea. People could play wesnoth while riding on the subway. :D Personally I stick with oldschool - large monitors and a comfy chair. :P > Clicking it opens a menu, where you can fiddle with the mouse emulation and turn it of. Ah! I have fat fingers though - it's very hard to use my finge...

Statistics: Art contributors?
Do we have any statistics to know how many people were active, or are active now, with a focus on art? Here I refer to graphics/images mostly, but we can extend this to ALL art in general, including creativity/storytelling. I don't need the specific dataset as such, just roughly to see a trend. Peop...

Re: PSA: Steam version of Wesnoth slow on Apple Silicon (fix included)
> Enjoy your relatively lag-free (but still CPU-hungry) Wesnoth on Steam, For me the biggest hurdle is usually trying to see which boost version is compatible with wesnoth. However had, that aside, I also wondered whether we could have a super-lightweight engine for wesnoth, for devices that are con...

Re: What are the best RPG Era scenarios?
> Yeah, thematically though they gotta be pirates. :) There was one scenario that focused on ships. I liked the idea. Would be interesting to repurpose or fit it or build upon it with pirates in mind. This also would require treasure maps and finding gold hidden on islands! And a parrot companion. I...

Re: [POLL] What Operating Systems do you use Wesnoth on?
Interesting that Windows in total beats the Linux users in total by a bit (numbers-wise that is). But not that much. I found that interesting.
Normally Linux ranges in about 3% of the total percentage. Granted, gamers will show another percentage ratio
but still I found it interesting.

Re: Where does this evolution of sprites lead?
What if we could choose between different animation styles? I am not sure it would be worth the implementation effort, but in regards to the initial complaint we could then perhaps choose different models. Or let wesnoth autogenerate animated sprites if that were possible. Perhaps A.I. could help he...

Re: Most memorable individual moments in Wesnoth?
Hmm. For me it was mostly campaigns. In the ... one where I keep on forgetting the name, the biggest one, Belzebub was hilarious. Once you kill him he drops a gazillion of items. I also liked the progression system there - I recall I once built up a halberd/scythe guy that was wiping away enemy unit...

Re: Best faction mods?
Usually I like the mods that go with epic campaigns. Together with the art too, such as to lands unknown and similar variants.
I wonder if we can query for the art online; that would be kind of nice to have.
