Mal Keshar
I'm not sure where to post this, I apologise if it's in the wrong place. I'm almost certain that a while ago I read somebody here saying they had plans to kill Mal Keshar but I can't find the thread nor a campaign on the add-on server where this appears to happen. Can anybody point me in the right d...

Re: How to update wesnoth version? [Ubuntu]
1.8 is in the "Universe" repository - are you sure you have this enabled? If you're unsure how to do it, from inside synaptic click Settings>Repositories and make sure Community Maintained Open Source Software is selected. You may also be interested in a PPA for 1.9: https://launchpad.net/...

Re: Undead Campaign: Danse Macabre
I've only got one save, but it's fairly typical. I have 359 gold. All character units are level 3, except Macbre and Gingly both level 2. 1 nightgaunt, 1 shadow, 1 brain eater, 3 running corpses, and a chocobone. If I'm lucky, I sometimes manage to get 1 ghoul/skeleton/skeleton archer levelled too. ...

Re: Undead Campaign: Danse Macabre
A bit more feedback, but contains possible spoilers, so here instead of the feedback thread. In the objectives for Night Of The Living dead, "anyway" should be "any way". Gingly seems to be there "just because". He has no lines, he's not important to the story in any wa...

Terrain Defence As Damage Reduction?
I apologise if this has been asked before - I have searched, but there's so many RNG complaints show up in the results, I might have missed something... I'm working on my first campaign, and for a special weapon in a single scenario, I want to change the behaviour of terrain defence, but I can't wor...

Here's a patch for scenario 7, Transform the Great Mage into Zombie" to "Transform the Great Mage into a Zombie" "Sir! Undead have come here!!" to "Sir! Undead have arrived" "How terrible... We must fight! Don't let them invade any more!" to "How ter...

Re: Undead Campaign: Danse Macabre
A couple of corrections in mission 3 "Oops! We must retreat and attempt comeback!" to "Oops! We must retreat and regroup!" "Well done! Leave cowards alone! Kill dwarves and orcs!" to "Well done! Leave the cowards alone! Kill the dwarves and orcs!" Also, in the...

Re: Danse Macabre
Hmm, it wasn't showing up in the update add-ons section, but I've got it with a manual install. Attached are two files with corrections to the English for the first mission (some mixed tenses, and some lines that are technically right, but stylistically odd). The first is patched WML (I didn't touch...

Re: Danse Macabre
I made up my own back story for that mission. The resistance ability of anywhere Macabre attacked was destroyed, but they were dispersed, not destroyed. A handful of survivors from each human village, elven forest, or dwarfish cave, using the time Macabre was advancing to ally with each other. It's ...

Re: Danse Macabre
(1) 1.0.3 (2) Normal (3) 10 - the hardest I've played by a long way. (4) Day Of The Dead - in fact, I ended up cheating. Another 5 or 10 turns would make it beatable. Also the second to last mission could do with a note in the objectives stating it's the last time you'll recall troops - it would hav...
