This is my first attempt at compiling anything, using XCode 3.0 on Leopard. The SDL libraries are installed in /Library/Frameworks and Amir/Library/Frameworks. I received literally hundreds (109) of errors when trying to compile BfW only without the Map Editor. I installed the SDL libraries by using...

Hm, Soliton, is the increase in timeout on the client or server side? (I'm not knowledgeable in these kinds of stuff) I'm now away from my broadband connection at home, using an EDGE connection via phone modem. I can't even connect to the server, at all, despite like 20 tries, but I'm still able to ...

Undead Mirror Comments
This was my first game against the more established players. The game wasn't finished yet, but the overall flow had already been established. I would like some comments on how I could've played better. One thing I noticed was that I kept getting outflanked by my opponent's ghosts. Thanks. Replay her...

This is my first 1v1 against the more established players. There were many tactical errors, and I'm sure there were some strategic ones as well. It was an Undead mirror match by random on the Dev version. Lesson: It takes a long time to victory. Actually this game wasn't finished yet, but I decided ...

Thou shall be pointed out blatant noobishness!
Thou shall remember that it displeases your partner, and gives your opponents much glee!
Thou shall remember the words common sense!

Today was a nightmare, I was getting lots and lots of ping timeouts, which were uncommon in 1.4.10. I was getting them while idle in the lobby, while creating games, while saveloading, while waiting for game to start (despite receiving messages from other players), and while returning to the lobby f...

- Topic: Best strategy in Wesnoth: A good defense?

The problem stated in this thread is that some claim that there is a propensity for defensive play in Wesnoth. Some suggested that ZOC'ing line of sight is a probable solution. As problem and solution are being discussed here in the same thread, there is no reason to create a thread about a solution...

When using BfW in windowed mode, I am no longer able to use the menu bar to find the User Data section; it goes straight to the Resources folder. I think this is a bug. What is the pathway for going to the User Data on Mac OS X? Until this is fixed, I'd like to manually navigate to the Saved Games s...

Wesnoth on Leopard
Not sure whether to put it here or in User's Forum. How many of you are playing Wesnoth on Mac OS 10.5? Any problems? So far so good for me on this Powerbook. In the MP lobby, updates seem kind of slow, and the same goes when observing MP games, but I guess that's just Spotlight reindexing my hard d...

Yep, I really can't argue with your statements. The main reason I used this replay was because I myself have never encountered an opposition using woses against me as undead. And I do agree looking at the replays that using the bat/ghost to ZOC the fighter could have prevented the fighter from trapp...
