I concur fulheartedly. It's a great game.. one of the best in the genre I've played.

(Going back to the original topic) I like the suggestion.. but there's one thing that occurs to me: does this enable (for example) level 1 units to do more damage than level 2 units without a leadership bonus? Do we want this?

I just personally change names if a unit with an annoying/odd name levels. never use it. It's not hard to see the hexes or gauge the distance and the outline of a unit's movement range including enemies helps a lot as well.
