Re: 1.6 SP Campaign: Bad Moon Rising (~20 scenarios) 0.7.0

I can't find a way to end the 'Escape the Legion' scenario. One time I managed to defeat Astreya and get Belleros onto her keep, but the game didn't end. Another way I tried was to get Belleros to the exit in the East after staying in the western tunnel for some time. I could eventually get him ther...

Re: Case of the Missing Scepter

I played through until the end and loved it. Very imaginative. It was challenging at times, but not too challenging if you focus on building up the strength of your forces early on and collect gold when you can. I noticed a couple of things: In the last chase through the caves, Flotsam isn't there a...

Re: Case of the Missing Scepter

I've played through to the swamp scenario and enjoyed it a lot. It's very imaginative. In the swamp, just Squeeky and Gongadin appear and neither can recruit troops. There is a message saying that Squeeky has appeared with some troops, but there is nobody with him. Unless I am missing something, thi...

Re: Random maps

For those interested, my favorite way of using the random maps is to use a large map (about 70x70) with interesting terrain that is hidden by a shroud (I also use fog of war). One way I find works well to get varied terrain without looking at the map in advance is to keep the default settings for 'l...

Re: Random maps

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I've just tried playing against three allied computer players each starting with 200 gold (I start with 100). It's a lot better. The computer is still quite a bit more timid than before, but having a lot of forces coming at you from three different directions...

Random maps

A year or so ago I used to make quite large random maps (usually 70x70) and play against the computer. I would give the computer more gold than I had and the computer would put up a pretty good fight. I've recently tried to do the same thing with the random maps on versions 1.5.9 and 1.5.12 but the ...

Re: Forgotten Kingdom

In the 'Chased Invaders' scenario the objective is to 'Defeat all enemy leaders', but there are only eight moves to do this. The advice at the beginning of the scenario is to hurry down the road, but one of the enemy leaders appears back at the starting point. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, bu...

Re: 1.4 Campaign: Bad Moon Rising (0.3.2 ~ 30 scenarios)

It wasn't too difficult to block the path to the altar. The key thing was to put six strong pieces (including two seeresses) on horseback. This is enough to defend the pass to the altar for a while. When the other Ukians approach Nemesis most of her troops that were trying to break through to the al...

Re: 1.4 Campaign: Bad Moon Rising (0.3.2 ~ 30 scenarios)

Thank you for your quick reply.

The screen didn't freeze. She just wouldn't die. She is the only enemy left and I have the passage to the altar blocked with quite strong troops so I suppose there's a kind of stalemate. My gold is already very negative and getting more so every move.

Re: 1.4 Campaign: Bad Moon Rising (0.3.2 ~ 30 scenarios)

In the 'Second Volcano' scenario the game seems to stop after I kill Nemesis (the second leader to be killed). He just stays in the same place and doesn't die. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I can't see what it is. I have version 1.4.5 on MAC OS 10.4.11 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 'When Came out the Shadows' uploaded

Thank you for looking into this.

Where can I find the new version? The one on the server is still 0.2.3.

Thank you for trying to sort this out.

Re: 'When Came out the Shadows' uploaded

I'm enjoying the campaign.

The scenario after 'Rediscover the Green Isle' couldn't be loaded. Is this as far as it goes at the moment or is it just me?

I just tried again. The money works fine now, but I still got an error message about the corsair mage and the game stopped.

I'm really enjoying the game.
