Re: Wesnoth logo - Scottish Gaelic
No worries
Localising the sounds of the name allows me to do the case thing as well, just as in the Hungarian translation. So, you'll see "Beasnad" /bɛsnəd/, "Bheasnad" /vɛsnəd/ and "Bheasnaid" /vɛsnədʲ/ throughout the game, "Beasnad" being the base form.

Re: Wesnoth logo - Scottish Gaelic
I followed the Image Localization Guide where the pronunciation of the name was adapted to the target language. Gaelic has no W or th; Bh is pronounced /v/. I normally wouldn't translate branding names without asking, but since it was in the example, I went ahead.

Re: Son of the Black Eye
I'm currently doing an image localisation round and I found a small bug in the great-continent.xcf file: The label for "Swamp of Desolation" is part of the "Far North Marsh" layer instead of the "Far North labels" layer. This makes it hard for translators to do produce ...

Re: [interface] Localization of dates in PO files
I have created a bug report , thanks. :) It still won't solve the issue of locales not being available on your operating system though. E.g. on a Mac there is no Scottish Gaelic Locale. I can't see how is that relevant for us... There are speakers of minority languages who own a Mac, but I cant tell...

Localization bug with dates in load game screen
Wesnoth can't handle my operating system's locale (gd) in the load game screen and displays English instead. OS: Windows 7 Game version: 1.10.4 Game Language: Scottish Gaelic (gd) Walkthrough: Choose "Gàidhlig" in the Languages menu, then go on "Luchdaich" (Load). You might need ...

I would also like to vote against click and drag. For me personally, it involves a lot of juggling and is a physical strain on the hand.

Re: [interface] Localization of dates in PO files
Is it possible to add a translation to that certain library? What's it called and who is making it? Then a whole bunch of software projects might benefit from it. It still won't solve the issue of locales not being available on your operating system though. E.g. on a Mac there is no Scottish Gaelic ...

Re: Wesnoth logo - Scottish Gaelic
Here's a three line version
I'm not really happy with it, but that might be a matter of spacing.

Yep, it's an error message, so it doesn' really need to have a fantasy feel.

Wesnoth logo - Scottish Gaelic
There are two possible translation for "The Battle for Wesnoth", so I made a logo for each to deside which one looks better.

[interface] Localization of dates in PO files
The localization of dates does not work as it should, at least not for minority languages. For example, Windows 7 actually comes with a locale for Scottish Gaelic, so I'm more lucky than speakers of some other minority languages, but it is still ignored in the "Load game" dialog. My sugges...
