Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Ah yes, I can see her being good with dark dragon. That's 70ish arcane penetration without any items. Would she be good with other legacies, though? I can see Titans working (she has really strong melee to profit and the physical resistances + natural arcane res make it very easy to make her incred...

Re: Expanding The Great Continent - [Dunefolk Habitat]

Dwarves don't have to be an exclusively subterranean race. They could have above-ground towns as well. Did not have the time these last few days to keep up with the discussion so I'll just quickly chime in on this one small point: there is, in fact, already a dwarf clan portrayed in mainline (Shorb...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

To me these bug reports sound like dropping and equipping were simply accidentally switched, which, if the case, should be an easy fix. Can someone explain why Elvish Seer is worth advancing and gearing heavily, and why she has more votes than Nightprowler and Faerie Incarnation? Her main damage com...

Re: Reworking/Revising The Sceptre of Fire

Alright, I'll do the PR when I'm through with the whole campaign. Alternative is to continue up the rails. How would they know the status? Some dwarves knew at some point, but not the ones the player has. Ah, it's talking about different tunnels. I think I'll expand the quotes to say side tunnel and...

Re: Reworking/Revising The Sceptre of Fire

SoF currently speaks of "tribes" and "tribal leaders" for the dwarves - in my understanding, Wesnoth dwarves are organized in clans (e.g., the Shinsplitter clan in NR), while "tribe" is used for the orcs. The Drakes have Flights. I think the horse lords have clans agai...

Re: Undead campaign

You mean there is no undead campaign or there is no good undead campaign? Because mainline has Descent into Darkness (DiD), which was recently reworked and should be pretty strong on the latest Wesnoth versions (starting from 1.14.7 or something), and the newest Wesnoth campaign Secrets of the Ancie...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Hi, I'm sorry if the question has already be asked but i didn't have the courage to read the 490 pages, Sometimes when advancing units to 4th level, i have the choice between 2 identical advance, is there any difference between the two? This is a bug resulting from active debug mode. It could lead ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

After all these years, I finally learned how you came to pick that name. I never got the idea to google it and then a person on my facebook friend list advertised a book and when I read it, I spotted something familiar... Welcome to the greatest book series I've ever read. I wish you as much joy wi...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Descriptions

First line of the unit description... While Dune Harriers can fulfill a similar role to Striders in hampering enemy forces, their name is actually derived from the harrier hawks they employ to maintain contact with the bulk of a Dunefolk army. You can of course force a reference to the falcon unit w...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Descriptions

Sure - you could say something like The choice to counterattack is not an easy one either: Harriers are considerably skilled in wielding their spears, and even their hawks can strike unsuspecting foes when hard-pressed. My main concern is to get away from the "extra attack" wording. If you...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Descriptions

This was already removed in commit 4bbfe77445f on my request (following Tom's remark). Even if the line doesn't need to be removed, I still thinks it's the better course of action simply because the wording already sounds weird and on top of it wrongfully makes it sound like there is a game-play ele...

Re: Sigurd's WML Syntax Highlighting for Notepad++

Thanks a ton, Sigurd!

Discovering this made my life so much easier - I was thinking about postponing all other Wesnoth stuff just to write my own version, when I came across this thread! :-)

I fiddled a little with the colors to adapt it to dark mode, but that was the easy part.

Re: What mainline campaigns are high quality?

Alright, voted now. TRoW, SotA - voted on good faith, because I hold them in good memory and they get the support from others. Liberty - replayed the master version just for this vote - needs some balancing towards the end and some dialogue revisions, but otherwise a fun, quick campaign with decent ...

Re: What mainline campaigns are high quality?

While I myself am holding back from voting because I'm currently doing replays, I can assure you that this is not really a measure of campaign quality (mostly because no definition or guidelines what of "quality" denotes was given). The resulting aggregate is more a measure of popularity a...

Re: LOTI
