Re: Multiplayer Friendlist
For Windows it's /wesnoth/userdata/preferences (open with notepad, or other text editor)
Then there is a line friends="your, friends, here" (where: your, friends and here are your comma separated friends).

Re: How to install it on Ubuntu??
I don't recommend the development version, unless you enjoy playing against computer. It's currently deserted while there are constantly a huge number of games going on the stable version server. If you want to install Wesnoth on Ubuntu you can just install it via the package manager. All you have t...

Re: XP not displayed fully in attack dialog @ 1024x768
I have the same in 1.5.0 (1440x900 resolution), not going to attach screen since it looks exactly the same as the irrevenant version.
Maybe it's best to report via http://bugs.wesnoth.org/ ?

Re: Siege Wars - New Construction Era!
The hard part is balancing propaganda and monuments against eachother. And having them counter eachother in a somewhat direct way where none of the players gets a real advantage is rather boring too. Perhaps propaganda could also influence riot chance in villages while building/upgrading your monume...

Re: Apple Mighty Mouse support
I'm actually familiar with the mighty mouses already, I had an encounter once in the basement ;) Maybe you can set it to do the scrolling when playing wesnoth, as a temporary solution? And you can do a feature request via http://bugs.wesnoth.org/. There are other Apple players, maybe they have sugge...

Re: Alternative download
It was indeed down for over five hours, I hated it too because I wanted to try out the new development version. I wonder what was wrong, they haven't updated their site status . Other large websites (owned by sourceforge) were down too, including slashdot and thinkgeek. Maybe they were hit by the sl...

Short redirect to MP Code of Conduct (suggestion)
The current URL to the MP Code of Conduct is quite long, especially for those playing the game in full mode. My suggestion is that, instead of: conduct.png Make it: http://www.wesnoth.org/mpcode http://www.wesnoth.org/rules http://www.wesnoth.org/mprules With a simple redirect in the .htaccess file:...

Re: A New Land addon - Wesnoth 1.4
ANL the Last Stand is now mainline in the development version (hooray!). One thing that didn't make me overly happy is that players can only pick the loyalist faction. Personally I believe the other factions (orcs, outlaw and undead) provide a more diverse game. Also I believe the factions to be mor...

Re: Wesnoth 1.5.0
Offtopic: Now we only have to wait until SourceForge works again and we can give 1.5.0 a try. Slashdot, freshmeat and thinkgeek are down too. Looks like some major network issues over there. - All back after 5 hours of downtime. Wesnoth 1.5.0 on Windows Vista (P4 architecture on core 2 duo CPU) Ins...

Re: Host, ban idea
This will be hard to do until there is a username registration system available. It would be possible to save the IP locally with a hash that correspondents with the IP stored on the server. However, I believe the current system works good enough for now - and if there is a real issue players can co...
