Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

The link given in the first post is argentum-age.com and does not work. It seems argentumage.com is the correct one. Is/Will it be open-source? Yes, the correct link is now http://argentumage.com Binaries are available: - Windows: http://theargentlark.com/files/ArgentumAge-setup.exe - OSX: http://t...

Re: License question

Sorry to be combative, but there is room for further clarification. Is there ever a good argument against transparency? You already have the income/expenses for Wesnoth, Inc. data, what is the cost to provide it? I don't think I have anything to add to what has already been said, other than to say ...

Re: License question

1. Much of the art, including material taken from Wesnoth, in the github citadel directory is CC-BY-NC-ND. What were the reasons for that? GPL applied to art can be kind of silly and the re-licensing of Wesnoth assets is an issue, but why the "ND" part? Would artists not commit without th...

Re: License question

wow. So we can donate? "Donate" or whatever So for donations, I'd love to float an idea and see what people think about it..... Let's say there is some art you want done. A series of portraits or animations or whatnot. We can assess it and determine how much it would cost to commission at...

Re: License question

1) Would it be possible to (re)start getting art done via commission? We never really stopped as such. It works the way it always has -- Jetrel, the head of art, approaches me when he wants something commissioned and we review if we have the finances to sustain it. FWIW I don't think we've ever had...

Re: License question

As it is, "Wesnoth Inc.", the company that Dave owns that receives the Iphone sales, has very little actual involvement in day-to-day development of Wesnoth, and they didn't make any art commissions for Wesnoth in almost three years. They seem to be spending a lot of money on art commissi...

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

Oh and I should also note that the exact rules of co-op are still slightly in flux, any suggestions are welcome!

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

Yes, co-op mode is quite bugged right now though -- it hasn't been worked on for quite some time since a bunch of game play changes.

We will work on getting it going soon though.

One question, though: I have advanced past the first two levels in The Iron Cities, even though I lost both matches. Is that intentional? Or is it a bug?
That would be a bug. I will try to reproduce and fix it.

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

Nice game! Some quick feedback, after few hours of play: Thank you for your feedback! It's very much appreciated. You should know that we have a dedicated forum for discussing the game if you're interested: http://reddit.com/r/argentumage - Not the best balance (alpha, I know;) But that wisp! OVERP...

Re: A shout out to Wesnoth Community from another TBS!

Don't worry, your post is very welcome. I've actually tried Scrolls before, as have another of other Wesnoth developers. it is a nice game that fills a unique niche, and it's sad to see it go. You might find it interesting to know that some Wesnoth developers are working on a game which is a CCG/tac...

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

@johndh: okay it looks like you have some old files from a previous install or something lying around.

Try blowing away the contents of modules/citadel as well as /home/john/.citadel//dlc

Then run it with --auto-update-module

What instructions did you follow to get it? Did you build anura yourself? Can you give a backtrace? Have you run with --auto-update-module ?

You can provide a backtrace by running,

gdb ./anura
run --module=citadel

Then when it crashes, type,
