Re: iOS support thread
Hi. Welcome to the forums! Open the Wesnoth bundle in App Store. You might need to wait for some time. After App Store loads all the data it needs, the price tag on the bundle will change from $3.99 (or other currency) to "Complete". After that, you should be able to install "Battle f...

Re: Compiling Wesnoth for iOS
Not that there's a formal instruction, but here is a summary. * iOS fork, the most recent branch is here: https://github.com/singalen/wesnoth/tree/tinygui_1_4_11 * one also needs iOS project and its libraries, available here: https://github.com/singalen/wesnoth_ios. Put it into projectfiles/Xcode in...

Re: Frequent crashes
Hi, Thanks for the kind words and welcome to the forums! One thing to try to fix crashes is to clear a cache, in Preferences - General. Any iPad Pro is powerful enough to run all the features of Wesnoth, but older models like iPad 2 (made in 2011) benefit if you turn off water animation - that's the...

Re: Crash when opening add-on panel
Thanks for a good report.
It doesn't happen for me.
Does it reproduce if you flush the cache in Settings - Cache?

Re: Adding comments to replays
I just had the same idea when I was reading a top player's comments on a replay. I feel that this can be done in a number of ways: * When you watch a replay, and then save a replay, the labels and chat messages you did when watching it, will be written to the saved copy; * We might add a tool (maybe...

Re: Drop down buttons unclickable on Mobile IOS
I've submitted a test version to TestFlight. Those testers who could reproduce the problem, please try it once the version passes the review. edit: I got a confirmation that latest experimental fix from TestFlight resolved the problem with a context menu. A fixed version will be sent to review today...

Re: Help with testing Fred - Freelands MP Custom AI v0.14.15
Another one, Fred played with his native Northerners vs my rebels, same money.
He feels not aggressive enough. At every moment, there were a couple of his units just hanging back. So he didn’t create enough pressure.
He also over-invested in Assassins, and neglected Archers.

Re: Help with testing Fred - Freelands MP Custom AI v0.14.15
Now actually played vs Fred. He seems to be doing worse than Experimental, the game on the same settings (+25 starting gold, +2 per turn) felt way easier. His questionable decisions: The initial investment in woses; On turn 4, exposing lone archer in the center; Turn 5: I like him moving raider to t...

Re: Help with testing Fred - Freelands MP Custom AI v0.14.15
*edit*: my bad, I used the wrong AI! This was an Experimental AI. Anyway, either it got better or I got worse. Or both. I managed to win against Fred 0.14.14! (He got 125 starting gold, +2 per turn). The matchup was in his favor, I think: he had Northerners and I had elves. Not sure how useful my re...

Re: Drop down buttons unclickable on Mobile IOS
We have already went through a circle with the AppStore version: unclickable context menu, then a crashing version, then unclickable context menu again. What's sad is that it seems to reproduce only for certain users. So far, I know of iPhone X problem. I need to buy one, finally :D Do you by chance...

Oh. I never could reproduce it 8(Sir_Emental wrote: ↑March 8th, 2020, 9:18 am Well yes, it does not crash now, but context buttons are unclickable again.
Does restarting the app help?
Are you invoking the menu with double-tap or with a long-press?

Re: iOS port update: 1.14.8 and 1.14.9
OS version with a fixed context menu crash released. Apple had fixed our account, and now I could actually see the bundle rejection reason. The reason for a bundle to be rejected was that the recent (HD) version and the old version had the same icon. Thanks Vultraz for helping figure out how to upda...

Re: iOS port update: 1.14.8 and 1.14.9
Fix for the crash is ready, but now the app didn't pass Apple review because HD version has the same icon as old iPhone version. Rebuilding old app is very complicated, it doesn't build on modern Xcode for multiple reasons. Will update the icon in the new app and re-submit. The bundle was also rejec...
