Re: Scenario Review: LoW 23 - End of War
(1) What difficulty levels and what version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on? 1.8.3, Medium, 716 starting gold. Also, I fixed my version so that all my shaman line was available to me instead of being given to Landar. I believe this is what is intended based on the story line. Pretty clea...

Re: Scenario Review: LoW 22 - Northern Battle
(8) Was there any event that caused you to lose the game and forced you to reload or restart the scenario ? No. Actually, I forgot, I tried to catch the SE leader out of his fort on the first turn as the wiki suggests, which works in that you can do so with Kalenz and Cleo, and kill him fairly easi...

Re: LOW Northern Battle - Landar recruiting shaman line
I've verified if I add the following to the store_unit filter for steal_wearer in my Costly Revenge saves, it fixes the problem so that all my shaman-types are then available when I hit Northern Battle. Still not sure what is going on - I added messages to try and understand the relationship between...

Re: LOW Northern Battle - Landar recruiting shaman line
Looks like as someone else figured out , the issue is that all the units recalled in Breaking the Siege end up with Landar in Northern Battle (at least that is what I see as well) and player is left with only SHAMANS not recalled in Breaking the Siege in their recall list. Errr, thank me for playin...

Re: Scenario Review: LoW 21 - Elvish Assassins
Having played this a few times now debugging the Northern Battle I noted a couple things: (7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun? This scenario now seems to be just filler. So, just make it filler. Most of the time, elves fight each other. For some reas...

Re: LOW Northern Battle - Landar recruiting shaman line
Looking in the replay files, my Enchantress is side=1 in a save just before the end of Costly Revenge, but is side=4 in the Council Ruling replay. Since Council Ruling WML doesn't seem relevant to this issue, sure seems like the WML in Costly Revenge at line 198 (using the 'steal_wearer' variable) i...

Re: LOW Northern Battle - Landar recruiting shaman line
Hey there, I'm using Mac OS 10.4.11 and Wesnoth 1.7.10. My problem is that I can't recall my old sylphs, shydes and one of my two enchantresses. As it turns out, Landar has those in his recall list. I'm attaching the savegame in case it's useful. Looks like as someone else figured out , the issue i...

I'm seeing this too.Zenogias wrote:After you steal the gold, the unit carrying the gold still has the gold coins item image on top of him if he is recalled in future scenarios.

Re: need help with LoW Costly Revenge
... Your basic game plan should be to let the saurians come to you; you should hold a defensible position in good terrain until almost all the saurians are dead (turn 13-14 for me.) Use your backfield to let wounded troops heal. Then you just need to spread out, destroy all the villages, kill the l...

Re: LOW - The Human Alliance
Hey, and first off - thanks Maiklas for the tips. Second that thanks. 4) When the black orcs popped in TURN 11, I decided to fall back with my river force (I was lucky that there were no enemy units in the forests east of the river). This was almost a mistake, as the black goblin knights were fast ...
