Re: Descent into Darkness revision
I understand that if every option was available, it would explode exponentially, but I'm wondering, what if Malin got more options what to do? In first scenario he can avoid using zombies and thus not get banished and remain in the town, which could lead to a completely different line of scenarios, ...

Re: Poll: do drakes eat humans?
I think, drakes just as much different from each other, as humans are. So, probably, some do and others don't. How often and how many depends on particular conditions and situations.

Re: Statement on UMC content licensing changes
You didn't understand my argument, it seems. Problem with finding fitting resource arises. Even if you are ready to credit the author properly, and going to do it anyway, after this change you will have to download whole addon you wanted to take resources from only to discard it after reading its li...

Re: Statement on UMC content licensing changes
While I do not mind GPL-compatible CC licenses, such as CC0 and CC-BY-SA, I do not think that allowing ND and NC licenses was a good idea. Point one: you cannot simply download all add-ons you want without reviewing their content, if you use them for commercial purposes, such as iOS port or arcade k...

Re: Blessed Altar Mod (BAM)
I mean that if your add-on did refer to an image as
profile="images/units/my cool red mage.png"
and you renamed "my cool red mage.png" to "mycoolredmage.png" it means that you also need to change profile
string in a WML file or your add-on will not work.- October 12th, 2017, 4:22 am

Do you release that applying the script will break all file references?

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game
It would be nice, if source tarballs (corresponding to release) were readily accessible from same page where binaries are.

Re: A New Land Era
Why do you ask about encoding? Anyway, it's easily done in shell: $ LC_ALL=C grep -Ir $'[^\001-\176]' . | grep -av $'[\uFFFD’—]' | iconv -f cp1252 ./utils/ANLEra_help.cfg: message= _ "Any of the ‘Elvish’ style villages represent universities. At the start of your turn, Mages in universities aut...

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game
Even though there are archives for Windows, Mac and Linux, I can't find a link to source tarball. I thought it will be inside "Linux" version, but there are only binaries.

Re: Altered era/ruleset
It should be doable in Double Commander. First you do recursive search, then send all found files to panel, and then they should work like if they all were in single directory.
If you can't do that, try updating Double Commander to latest version.

Re: Altered era/ruleset
I guess, that it is supposed to work with search results. Maybe if you search directory for filenames and then select rename tool, it will go for files in several directories. Though I am not going to install it to check.

Re: Altered era/ruleset
Why not to use `rename` command which is included in package utils-linux-ng for example? It seems to be pretty straightforward one. For GUI I have got suggestion to use Double Commander, but I didn't try it myself. I am personally happy enough with just shell, it is very straightforward and easy to ...

Re: A New Land Era
Fix should be as simple as opening the files in text editor and changing \ into / via replace function. You don't seem to use \ anywhere else in the affected files. PS. After more research: I do not think you really need to keep duplicate files building.cfg, one in utils and other in utils/buildings...

Add-on falls to load with a error message: error config: Macro/file '~add-ons\ANLEra\utils\buildings\buildings_drake.cfg' is missing at ~add-ons/ANLEra/utils/buildings.cfg:3 included from ~add-ons/ANLEra/ANLEra.cfg:21 included from ~add-ons/ANLEra/_main.cfg:10 The likely reason for this is use of in...

Re: Altered era/ruleset
Not necessarily, but it won't hurt to change it. Do you want help with bulk renaming? It is tedious to rename over 250 files by hand, but there are tools for all operating systems to do it quickly.
