Re: Card game - Wizards and Warlords
By the way, where do you play your sessions mostly? Are they private, off the internet, or are they on a Discord server, or something like that?

Re: Moonday Era
Maybe you would like to do a few mini-campaigns so as to help bring new users in? Or, one big campaign — which, if done well, would take a nontrivial amount of work to make it be interesting; however, I think that more people will comment on campaigns than on eras. Especially if the campaign has a ...

Re: The Battle for Wesnoth Card Game
This is the Art Workshop board, though. All the information you put here would be better in your other topic, would it not? Anyways, from what you said, I infer that each player has a pool of points / mana / coins, and that they use this pool to purchase cards which they assembled. It is very confus...

Re: Card game - Wizards and Warlords
That is what I was saying: Was my message difficult to translate? If so, then maybe I can rephrase it in simpler language. What languages do you speak best? First, try reading my previous message again. It explains what ‘rarity’ means with a “Marketing Game”. When you buy a pack of cards to play, fo...

Re: The Battle for Wesnoth Card Game
What engine are you using? I am unclear as to how exactly play proceeds in a “room”.
I have little experience or interest in designing these sorts of things, however, so I would probably not be much help.

Re: The Battle for Wesnoth Card Game
You should link this to the original topic you made: https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=48848 I do not see where you need additional images, though. It appears that you are re-using the sprites and images from the game, and that you already have the card template made! You also seem ...

Re: "Human Character" Tutorial for ALL
I like the style of portrait, and you seem to know what you are doing, but this is too terse and therefore not a tutorial per se . You should write in the language you speak best then allow someone else to translate. That way you could write a detailed tutorial. Again: I do like what you did with th...

Re: Card game - Wizards and Warlords
If the game is open source, i think the rarities of card is useles because they are used for a Marketing Game. That is somewhat correct, but misses a point: The host of a game can exclude tiers and use pseudorandom shuffling. Rarer cards are those with fewer copies in the entire deck. When you purc...

Re: Traits that might not make sense
(…) In the attached file, there's an imp (both times I've seen this it's been an imp, FWIW) at 37.31. His traits are weak and strong. Seems odd. I'm sure the idea that some traits should or should not be mutually exclusive has been discussed, though I couldn't find that, and some decision made. If ...

Re: Wesnoth looks great!
You know, I'll chime in here too. There are so many FOSS games out there which never get very far, sadly. There are many others which have devs that are snobby or otherwise difficult to approach. Of course, there are also many bossy users out there who feel like they own a project simply because it'...

Re: Traits that might not make sense
This should be moved to Scenario & Campaign Development because, even if such a facility existed for traits like it does for AMLAs — so far as I know, it doesn't, per UnitsWML#.5Btrait.5D , — the problem here would need to be attended in the After The Storm campaign first. One of my eras has it...

Re: Eastern Europe at War (EEaW) - 2.1 for 1.14!
A better default map, then? Larger, if necessary, to include all the terrain which would enable those factions stuck in the middle to better defend against attackers. Does this refer to me? If yes - The problem is not so much size, but some map details: (…) I agree. However, if it was necessary to ...

Re: Eastern Europe at War (EEaW) - 2.1 for 1.14!
A better default map, then? Larger, if necessary, to include all the terrain which would enable those factions stuck in the middle to better defend against attackers. It doesn't necessarily need to be larger, though. Here's one quick fix which I am planning on using for some of my eras, as yet unpub...

Re: Users' Forum: deleting topics
Well, thank you. Here's a follow–up. I don't know phpBB very well, so this could be some glitch between the forum software and my webbrowser, Midori. Each board page does say “You can delete your posts in this forum”, and yet when I select the “Delete this post” while editing, I am unable to do so. ...

Re: Games discussion
If any of you are wondering, I did purchase The Elder Scrolls Online , but the game does not load on my MacBook Pro. Filed a complaint, but had no response. They don't even allow me to post at their forums. Well, it is Bethesda Softworks … “Working softly since 1986.” Did you ever hear back ...
