Civil War

My brother and I have developed a new campaign. It is called Civil War and tells the story of Malbo, a soldier who fights to stop the rebellion of a sector of the army agaisnt their democratic government. It is set in Cunnicula, a human country. It have nothing with the original Wesnoth background. ...

Canyon race

I don't understand Canyon race from the campaign A Gryphon Tale. It must be because I am spanish, but I don't have problems to understand english normally. I don't understand what I am supposed to do with the zolpha, not even what powers have the zolpha or at least what is a zolpha. I don't understa...

Dave, I have a doubt. When you say Single Player you are referring only to campaigns or also to "multiplayer" games humans vs ai? Yesterday I considered the idea that the tipical evolution of the Wesnoth player could be different. Maybe when bored of single player he does development, game...

Re: Balancing Proposals

1] Elvish Shaman needs A} better healing powers (closer to 'cures' instead of 'heals') OR B} better ranged attack AND in either case a reduction in price from 18 gp to 16gp. Elves aren't going to be a great attacking outfit so they need better staying power by way of compensation. You should think ...

The role tag

Hello, I have seen the utility of the role tag , but have a problem with it. I am working in an scenario. In this scenario two units are recalled. It is very probable that all the units to recall would be from the same type (peasants). The problem is that I asign two roles, and the game gives the tw...

Dave, I said that because what you say can be true in newbies, but I think advanced players spend more time playing in multiplayer. At least this is what happens in the majority of the games.

Normally, I play a mix beetween the two. I play hotseat with my brother against the AI.

Reading this article I would say that a silver coin could weight 5 grams. As gold have almost twice the density of silver, we could say a gold coin weights 10 grams. 10g/coin * 10,000 coins = 100,000 g = 100 Kg. It would be enougth with a caravan to transport this weigth. If you want to have more ca...

I have done mistakes, retires, and so. I found only a few scenarios where I had problems of time (I allways play on easy). I'm talking when I took a little experience with the game. When I started I always ran out of turns. My advice is to play in Multiplayer (humans vs AI). Play some games, increas...

However, I think that the single player version of Wesnoth is what the majority of people will play. We should perhaps have another poll, but last time we had one, it was shown that a strong majority of players prefer single player to multiplayer. I think people starts playing single player (campai...

I think that wasting xps when you are level 3 can be frustating, but also realistic. Imagine two solidiers in a mission. One is a legendary warrior, fighter in 1000 battles. The other one is a promising recruit. They face one enemy. The great warrior has to decide between killing the enemy in a sing...

I think HttT is the main campaign and the more debugged. It is the campaign that everyone should play first. The campaign I like the most is the Rise of Wesnoth, but I think it is more interesting and funny to play HttT first to know Wesnoth and time after play TRoW to know how Wesnoth was formed. A...

New Acuatic Units

I have seen that the new Wesnoth includes the new acuatic units in campaigns and multiplayer. That is good. But i don't like the way they have been introduced. First, I remember a Poll that asked if the loyalists acuatics units should be the Mermen. The great majority answered 'No'. Why? Beetween ot...

* There are historical reasons for the Mermen alignment with the elves. * Mermen give the elves the day/night day component. * Mermen tends to good, as elves do. * I think Nagas do not need to be evil, but have a little tendecy. I don't imagine an Elven alliance with that people. Humans are more cap...
