Re: Khalifate facelift: Redux
...Wow. Was not expecting this. The wyvern rider is epic.
I don't really have anything critique to offer here, other than that the wyvern's back leg seems just a little muddled with its wing, but I'm not sure how you'd go about fixing that. It's probably not even worth bothering with, TBH.

Re: Formal critique against Khalifate faction.
I dislike the Khalifate for their bad graphics that eyesore  The Khalifate graphics might be inferior to some of the current mainline graphics, but they are also unquestionably better than some of the current mainline graphics. TSI and Sleepwalker (TSI in particular), both mainline art contrib...

Re: Lighting?
In Creating_Unit_Art in the wiki I found this: Light comes from the artist's (not the unit's!) upper right (for shading and highlights) No idea whether that’s official or not, though, but that seems to be what I have been unconsciously using (or trying to use) all these years. I wrote that during m...

Re: Standing and idle animations?
Not bad. I'm a bit concerned about his right (our left) leg though... the way it's bending ATM isn't technically anatomically possible, given the position of his knee in the baseframe and the static position of his foot throughout the animation. You're probably going to either have to rotate his foo...

Re: Amorphous's Pixel Art
Quick edit on the minotaur. One thing I'd try is changing up the hues in your palette... monochromatic colors (i.e., palettes that only vary in saturation and brightness rather than color) tend to read as being fairly flat. Adding a bit of hue-shifting to the palette will make it pop a bit more. :) ...

Re: Three wise magi
I seriously love your pixelling style... it's very clean and readable, and it's really refreshing how you define shapes with shading and colors instead of single-pixel lines . 8) The only thing thing I'd be a bit concerned about is the fact that the lvl2 and lvl3 (the lvl2 in particular) appear to b...

Re: Appreciation for the community
I have seen many other forums, quite as immaculate, with much more free and open discussions. I haven't. Or at least, none on par with the size and scope of these forums, with the amount of traffic and number of members we have here. It doesn't really have anything to do with being warned-we(at lea...

Re: Unit sprites for After the Storm
One thing you might consider trying is shrinking the length of their midsections, so that their ribcages sit closer to their pelvises. Yours are closer to realistic human proportions, whereas Wesnoth sprites (with all their stylized proportions :augh: ) tend to shrink the midsection down. Shortening...

Oooh, me likes this a lot!
I'm not an Apple developer, but I imagine you might run into some trouble getting this into the App Store, given Apple's policy with regard to duplicate apps:

Apps that duplicate apps already in the App Store may be rejected, particularly if there are many of them.

If you're looking for art, Neoskel drew some very nice skeletal pirates a while back, and even animated some of them: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=26664

Like so: [event] name=post advance first_time_only=no [object] silent=yes duration=forever [effect] apply_to=attack name=PepperSpray increase_damage=3 increase_attacks=1 [/effect] [/object] [/event] Just replace "PepperSpray" with the appropriate attack name. See also: http://wiki.wesnoth....

Re: International Speak Like a Pirate Day!
Not even Pirates spoke Pirate. Thank you ancestral! QFT. Similar to how vikings didn't actually wear horns on their helmets ... Here's a suggestion: Just forget about the existence of grammar, insert a random epithet after every three words or so - maybe spit after every couple sentences, too - and...

Re: Orc Assasin Standing Anim
Not bad. :) One thing I'd suggest is that right now almost all of the motion is happening horizontally, with the exception of the arms and the dangling whatsits from his headgear. The spearman and the fencer both move their torsos vertically as well as horizontally, and they also make use of a sligh...

Re: UMC Pioneers
As you can see , there really aren't that many UMC Pioneers. Only eight, to be precise. Bob_the_Mighty and mattsc's inclusions in that list have already been explained. IIRC Exasperation and Ken_Oh were nominated for their work on Wesband, and Gambit was nominated for Gambciv. And Inferno8, of cour...

I'm gonna be sick. Oh, and I noticed you're using DB's palate, like everyone else. :D Well, I am using one of Dawnbringer's palettes, but not the one everyone else is using. The one I'm using here was concocted by Dawnbringer for the last Iso-ology collab, whereas the one everyone else (i...
