This method seems "incorrect" to me, because of two reasons: * The same URL (the main page) shows different results, depending on browsing history. So if someone will switch to language xx , then return to the home page and see it localized, one may mistakenly send the URL to someone else...

When suggesting changes to the navigation bar, please, don't simply ask for a new link... think about the whole thing. Sure it would be good to have links to Bugs, FAQ, etc. but we can't have all the links there. I agree with some of your suggestions, but I'm also sure we can't make everyone happy. ...

It reminds me of the "original" wesnoth buttons (0.3.4), with a different color. IIRC, those buttons were automatically generated with the gimp, but didn't look very good IMHO.
