People keep bringing this up, so I'd like to point out there are more types of desert than Sahara-like dunes. It can have shrubs, cacti and coniferous trees without looking out of place.

There's no "they", it's one guy making it and his plans will take several years.

Re: Portrait sketches

I like your rusted armor, good job. Adding some scratches/chips/gouges could make it look even better.

Might want to slightly darken the shaded parts of the jaw to have it stand out more.

Option to Disable Camera Centering

I've been gathering feedback from friends, and this seems to be the most important issue. When holding matches on large maps - especially with the timer running - it is very disruptive to have the camera swinging around constantly to focus on another player's unit when you are trying to plan your ne...

The random world thing is what Dwarf Fortress is going for. One that writes its own story.

Re: Loyalist Portrait Series

Kestenvarn: to be honest, I did consider the opportunity of worn armour, but rejected it. Initially, it was indeed a lack due to my laziness ( ). Eventually, I thought of it but still didn't change anything. This is because of the characters themselves. Most of the loyalist's armoured uni...

Re: Gryphon Portrait: Anatomy/Linework

It doesn't look as though you've really changed it that much since my last post. Have you tried experimenting with different poses?

Flight might not be the best option here, since the portrait is static.

Re: Loyalist Portrait Series

These are all very good. The only thing that bothers me is how the armor looks perfectly polished and new, with no signs of wear and tear.

Re: Gryphon Portrait: Anatomy/Linework

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, and it is only opinion, but these gryphons are too fat - lions should have a sleek and powerful look to them. The neck could be made less squat, as well. Adding long, pointed ears similar to a caracal can also enhance the predatory image.

I like the linework for this. Did you intend to give him a comical facial expression, though?

Re: PoxNora

I've often wondered what would happen if you played MtG using not pre-built decks, but using a "draft" process, where each player in the tournament gets to draft cards from a general pool, going until everyone has a 60-card deck... would definitely make it more balanced, anyway. sounds li...
