I think we mostly agree that .png is sufficient for editing artwork. .png contains all the important visible information of the artwork in a form that can be read by humans and computers. The problem might come when trying to edit something like a .jpg. .jpgs lose quality every time you save them ag...

Forgive me for bringing this back on topic here, but yes, we seriously need a Wesnoth MMORPG. I think the main thing that keeps this from happening is a lack of programers, and there is no easy way to make that up quickly.

I dont' think that wose was my best work, or even very good. I will admit the awful process I followed now to make such an abomination. First I took the wose in game, then I enlarged it in the gimp. After that I drew over it to give it more detailed leaves and such. Then I tried to change the positi...

nd I don't think it is sufficient for short, beginner-friendly campaigns to be available on the campaign server. Most beginners will start with the campaigns in front of them, not with those on the server. A campaign suitable for beginners has to packaged with the game, or beginners will never know...

Hint for newbie campaign makers

Make sure that the number of turns are input correctly, otherwise, thosse custom units you worked so hard on will not appear at all and the user will be moving around or running into invisible units. I have seen this bug in at least two campaigns so far.. Out of the Swamps and Eternal Kingdom.

I like it. Please don't delete it. I am not in a fan of the practice of unpublishing, even if the author considers the work to not be very good. This is why I hate the idea of DRM and love the idea of open source software. I don't want DVDs that can only be played a couple times before the content d...

The best music was the Final Fantasy series 1-8. I didn't think Heroes of Might and Magic was particularly good for the most part, alot of it was too classical sounding. I did however like the necopolis theme in the price of loyalty expansion pack for heroes 2 alot. I tend to like music with a defin...

Alright I went into the terminal and typed the following export CVS_RSH="ssh" then I ran this command cvs -z3 -d:ext:anoncvs@savannah.nongnu.org:/cvsroot/wesnoth co wesnoth That appeared to have downloaded the cvs for wesnoth, unfortunatly, compiling it was not so easy I entered into the d...

I already know how to compile from source for linux, but I would love to know how to compile the cvs version, since I would like to learn how to program someday. Belive it or not newbies, you do not have to know how to write a single line of code in order to compile and run a program. It ie as easy ...

I noticed deathblades don't have an upgrade. Is this intended or does someone already have an upgrade in the works? I noticed thier attack is greater, but they still seem awfully delicate and relativly crappy compared to revenants
Also, shouldn't the revenent have another upgrade path?

Female Dark Adept

Since mages have female versions of them, and dark adepts, necromancers, and dark sourcers are mages that follow a dark path, I have started working on a line of female versions.

Welll, I finnally did get it to compile, install and run properly on my mandrake 10.0 system. The trick was using the matching devel and other rpms for SDL mixer from the SDL site and not the broken mandrake ones,. The other thing I had to do when I finnally installed it was find the place where it ...
