I concur. e.g. We don't need so many Merman and Naga units. We don't need to give healing and magic to Merman and Naga (healing and magic users have been few in Wesnoth, let's keep it that way). IRC talking about the issue can be found at http://irclog.wesnoth.org/wesnoth-dev and the 20041019 log st...

[defense] deep water=50 shallow water=40 swamp water=30 grassland=70 sand=50 forest=70 hills=70 mountains=80 village=60 castle=50 tundra=70 cave=80 [/defense] Giving 50 on sand but 70 on grassland, forest and hills does not make so much sense to me. I would rather make it 60 on all: sand, grassland...

New unit graphics are too similar with each other
Aiya, I think fmunoz has said that players must be able to tell from first glimpse that units are different. If we look latest merman/mermaid units (that were recently added to CVS) where are the differences that make people see at first glimpse that these are different units? Compare 'Mermaid Initi...

Re: put some more notes on the home page!
1) Feature freeze for drive to 1.0, devs are very busy, bug fixing and tweaking going on only - please bear this in mind when using and browsing the forums I, as release coordinator, am not aware of any 1.0 feature freeze. Dave has suggested freezes as long as we have been developing Wesnoth - and ...

*Miyo appears as Silene summoned him* I concur with Cedric and Silene. Opinions: * using 1st level units should be encouraged * adding new higher level units does not help with 'losing units is expected' * we should not start adding new units with all these cool features and abilities * If fourth le...

obviously, i would think... sithrandel/whoever probably hasn't even made the 0.8.5 binary yet. Incorrect. package for Mac OS X existed before 0.8.5 was even released (built against 0.8.5rc5 which was released as 0.8.5). This time u$win package is missing... SourceForge mirrors are not yet synced......

Re: "signoff"
Too much traffic for me. To be able to fulfill my tasks (Wesnoth and others) I have decided to heavily reduce reading forum. Those who need to find me know where I can be found. As I have not been able to reduce enough... I will cease reading forums. Might view forum topics that are talked on #wesn...
