Sorry to pour some cold water on this, but I think it might be rather unbalancing to have a level 3 berserk character. One day someone will put it into user campaigns, and then they will really run riot. I don't think that the power level of a level 3 beserker should be pegged to other level 3 melee...

Dwarven doors question on 9.4
I have a thug in my party, so in dwarven doors (HttT), i'm supposed to be able to get Uncle Somf upon reaching the village at (18,24). However, it doesn't happen.
Is this a known problem? I know that it worked in earlier versions of Wesnoth.

Remove the grand marshal?
I was looking through the thread for "level 4 Konrad", and I noticed that some felt that the level 4 grand marshal could be removed. I think that such a unit can be quite unbalancing. As a matter of philosophy, I think we should resist unit creep and should try and have as few lvl 4 units ...

I was thinking of doing something like that and had offered to look at the code a while back. I could defo come up with something. As a student of mathematics and having done a lot of theory of prob, my guess is that CLT applies quite well to skewed binomial distributions once the number of repititi...

My impression was that we intended for the footpad/trapper/thug line to stop at lvl 2 for the reason that as a non-organised faction, they were supposed to be weaker. However, a campaign based on these types would definitely need a level 3. I'm not so sure that it wouldn't unbalance TRoW, for exampl...

Standard Deviation in Statistics
As a math graduate, I think it is extremely inelegant for the Statistics section to contain the expected values and the actual values for damage dealt and received... without also including the standard deviation. I've thought about it, and it isn't difficult to do it... the question is, would playe...
