My suggestion is that SotBE is fine as it is. In terms of gameplay elements, it accomplishes what it sets out to do rather well - it's challenging, has variety and provides different tactical tasks to accomplish. Its very simplicity, to me, is a nice quality. I thought that your new scenario, the Hu...

As socio-political religious leaders, they could at least have leadership. Leadership, as an ability, falls on trained military leaders. That is the case throughout Wesnoth... (well, scott's Shadow Lords from Liberty had them too but those are due to fear and intimidation). Leadership would be wast...

Well, they are the socio-political religious leaders... not everything must be measured in terms of combat ability. As it stands, they were designed to be like this. And a conscious design change would alter the campaign fundamentally... esp the Siege of Barag Gor. I personally don't see a need for ...

I think SotBE is fine right now. It's probably a bit tough, but that's because: 1. it's supposed to be. 2. it's not like HttT in terms of overall strategy, so you have to relearn some fundamentals like when to recall and how to use poison/regenerate 3. it makes you maximise every single unit. I don'...

Nice campaign. Has a very distinctive style, which is good. haven't finished, so I'll just drop in with some bugfix comments. The undead riders in Chapter 3 have the wrong resistances (ie they resist holy 20% and are weak to pierce, which is the status quo for normal mounted units). Maybe they could...

Final thoughts on the campaign: I find the 2 final scenarios, Weldyn Besieged, and The Duel to be almost trivial.(on medium) For Weldyn Besieged, I basically brought my holy cavalier, holy swordsman, 2 white mages and killed Mal-Ravanal within 5 turns. It might be more interesting if you don't know ...
