Re: Grand Portrait List - 2020 update

concerning the Northern Rebirth portraits, from the list it is suggested that the story should be rewritten. Its kinda thrown in the air that the current NR will be changed and some characters might not be/or new characters will be in the rewritten portion.

Re: Wesnoth Fauna

However, if dwarves were to have mounts, mountain sheep/goats, donkeys/mules, yaks, and alpacas would be the place as it would be a cheaper to field than Griffins realistically. I agree with that, but introducing such a unit would be a big balance issue and a can of MP worms I wouldn't be able to d...

Re: Mechanical's art

To be honest as it currently stand with me the night/day forms do not look like a "transformation" its more of the unit taking armor/clothing off. For lore reasons i can see a less transformation if it affects the units physical strength, why would they remove the armor in the middle of co...

Re: Wesnoth Fauna

The chariot concept doesn't make much sense, if those are supposed to be mountain goats. Bear riders are apparently from Warhammer? Dwarven bear riders are from warcraft I believe, But there are a group of humans that ride bears in Warhammer. The dwarven chariot concept is more for open field tool ...

Re: Edwylm's sprite alterations

You aren't the only one that has been trying to make a few peasant variations, I started roughly the same time as you when creating these sprites. Other than that I would like to use yours for my Era and upcoming campaigns. Well some of your sprites are not that bad, different style but we had diff...

Re: Edwylm's sprite alterations

Those civilians/peasants look great btw and I think animating them wont be difficult, it will just take some time. I think having multiple variations of peasants would enrich even mainline wesnoth. Think of all the campaigns which make a lot use of these. Implementing variations of peasants into ma...

Re: Mechanical's art

These are great and fits the theme of what we already know of Ogres in Wensoth in general.

The only issue I have noticed is the right sprite in the grunt line. The axe seems quite big maybe take one of the segments out might make it less excessive.

Re: Edwylm's sprite alterations

I made some updates to the brown salamander line. One noticeable feature is size and the left where it is an extra unit with different apperance. I'm not sure how I feel about the feet and legs. I'll have to do more work concerning the cloth and legs. The one to the right i still need to add more &q...

Edwylm's sprite alterations the peasants are revolting my lord

While I continue to work with the salamanders here is another work I am currently working on, i'm quite surprised this wasn't done earlier by other users but here they are. peasants_all.png The plan is to enhance the peasants and give them tools/weapons appropriate. Peasants have a wide range of too...

Re: Edwylm's sprite alterations

Its been a while since I have posted in here. after taking a while away from wesnoth I have started to work on sprite altering and more wesnoth stuff. There are several sprite projects I am wanted to work on. First I have been working on the altering of the salamander sprites that inferno8 has made ...

Re: Pilauli's Art

The wose are mysterious but I'll pick at some statements from the unit descriptions that might help. wose unit "The motives and workings of their kind are unknown, though most subscribe to the obvious theory that woses are dedicated wardens of the natural world. " elder wose unit "Wos...

Re: Pilauli's Art

Its decent however i would suggest filling in empty space between the arm and the back with dark brown/green to give a appearance of canopy shade. Also try adding a little more foliage to the left side feels a little bare to me. As of suggestions for names; Wose caregiver, custodian, listener. curre...

Re: Obscured Folklore Era

Hello Tom01 I am pleased that you enjoy the era. Its been a while since I have dedicated much time to updating it, I haven't abandoned it just been busy in irl and with other projects Wesnoth related and non-Wesnoth related. Currently my interests in Wesnoth has increased and I have been doing more....

Re: Wesnoth Fauna

suggestions; possible strips for the throat or the body? it would break up the 2 color scheme making it more interesting. possible crests or head ornaments Also the tail needs a longer "paddle" portion than the current portrait shows. As it is now it would suggest that this creature is not...

Re: Wesnoth Fauna

The salamander would need to be edited to make its colors be better against the background. example if its too dark.

(its a bit too bright now in this sprite along with it should look more lavaish if it lives in lava.)
