Re: The Beautiful Child
I have a suggestion for your campaign(s): weapon specials called for example "disease -4" or "disease -8". Disease reduces unit's current HP and the only way to cure it is to make the unit have current HP >= maximum HP.

More info about units
I think sure traits and random traits should be listed here http://units.wesnoth.org/1.12/mainline/ ... 20Bat.html and on other individual unit pages too.

Re: Affably Evil (new campaign)
That doesn't work like that. If you see a Fencer, you expect him to do 4-4 damage or 5-4 damage if he has the trait. If his damage is suddenly 9-7, people are going to complain about enemies having unexpected unit properties. It happened in LotI and I had to fix it with those with tentacles, gusts ...

Re: Affably Evil (new campaign)
if the campaign is not very short, the player will assemble a huge army of recalls that needs very strong enemies You already know how to easily make stats for very strong enemies: just pick some existing units and add damage & HP. And I tell now how to easily make graphics for them: just pick ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I support more the possibility to severely reduce all suck values on items. I agree. I'm surprised because you didn't reply to my suggestion about whirlwind. You didn't even say "I won't implement it". I suggested to make whirlwind give the attacker the average XP it would get if it attac...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
The main thing I try to say is "don't nerf suck too much". If minimum suck would be the same as maximum suck, then suck would be like leech. Wait! I just came to think that suck would in fact be less leech-like than it currently is. How to do it: remove the cap from suck and compensate tha...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
What I think: if new maximum suck is remarkably (over 50%) lower, it should be minimum as well. I don't quite understand what did you mean with this. The minimum for suck is 1, no? You are right. I was talking about the future. I saw discussion about nerfing suck and I decided to tell my opinion. C...

Re: What SP mod do you want to see?
Disable auto-advancing and let the player advance a unit with enough XP whenever (s)he wants during his/her turn. Change the default AMLA to give just full healing and not extra HP and make the next AMLAs require as much XP as the first one. My idea got no support so this would be good as an option...

Can't connect to multiplayer nor add-on server
This problem has occured with 1.12.2 but not with 1.12.0 (I tried MP). When I tried to connect to the multiplayer server, Wesnoth said that no connection could be created. stderr.txt: "20150425 10:19:05 error network: caught network::error: Could not connect to host." I can still use the n...

[mainline/UMC] Manual advancing and different AMLA system
There are two problems: 1. If you have a unit very close to advancing, the AI usually ignores it. RIPLIB. 2. Max-level units are too useless. Here is the solution: Disable auto-advancing and let the player advance a unit with enough XP whenever (s)he wants during his/her turn. Change the default AML...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I don't agree nor disagree with Aevyn nor dabber. I'm so bad a player that I shouldn't take part in unit balancing. I think it should be easier to get in-game information about who can use what items. If I recall correctly, the lesser berserk attacks are described as "fury". What weapon is...
