Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Whiskeyjack, my comments: * Bow of plagiarism is useful for suck. I actually use it for that reason. * Lake of Blood seems okay to me. Sure it's almost solely a support item, but it isn't good enough that it is used often. * Ring of Unearthly Existence is probably suicidal in part 2, but I believe i...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

ciri, the storyline explains a bit of what happened to them at the start of chapter 10. For items in the last battle, the items were definitely merged incorrectly a while back. I put some fixes in the github version in January. I don't know if that made it into official download, or if other changes...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I have the same power curve concern, but any effort to make sets easier skews the curve, doesn't it? My method maybe skews it worse because it mainly adds rings, amulets and cloaks, which are hard to find at all. The replay value concern is one that I didn't think of, although you are correct to con...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I had the idea of taking a bunch of random item drops and making them specific set items. This has the virtue of being easy. I also wanted to add extra story flavor to each drop, but I haven't managed to do that. I'll go ahead and post this now without the attempts at extra story text. Koschei (staf...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Personally, I like Arctic Wastelands. I wish the snowstorms were more randomized in time, but that's all.
Jungle Hell is hell, but it is also challenging. I have to be more careful in that scenario because I can get jumped out of the jungle.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

* I look for two or three demon traits - conviction, cold attacks and maybe frail tide. Even that is too complicated - my enemy scanning steps are simply 1) conviction 2) cold attacks 3) be careful with any of my people outside the power buf group (Legacy of Kings, stuff like that). I played through...

Re: dabber's questions: all terrain

Is there an easy way to make all terrain types unwalkable, and then make one terrain type cost 1 move? I don't want to have to individually list each type I want to set unwalkable. The goal is to let the unit move across only one type of terrain. It seems like all I ask in this thread is dumb questi...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Bish09, when the enemy is super nasty, plan your attack. 1. Passive buffs on your units (Leadership, Shield, Legacy of Kings, Tome of Bards, illumination, etc). 2. Passive debuffs on the enemy (Despair, Conviction, Frail Tide, penetrations, illumination). 3. Slow the enemy somehow. Slow aura is usef...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

bughunter, there are some links in the first post to wiki pages that cover some of those things. But the entries I see (ex Deadly Units) are from a long time ago, some of those builds are not as powerful anymore (for good reason).

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Redeem is really just a weapon special. Like any weapon special, hover your mouse over it in the attack listing on the right and you'll get a description.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

* I've put some fixes into End of the World on github this past week. I never saw the leaders be duplicated though. Generally I'd like to make the scenario significantly harder, as I found it nearly trivial, but I didn't submit that set of changes. * I would like to see the blood rain come a little ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Upon further thought, probably suck and spell suck should stay blue, because gaining hitpoints is really defensive.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Coloring of item effects needs better consistency. What should it be? Set bonuses are purple. Improvements to resistance are blue. I think any "defensive type" bonus should be blue. So I would change dodge from green to blue. New abilities are currently blue. I think they should have their own color...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

And marrowind doubles (or more) the number of attacks (instead of 30%), it doesn’t change a lot actually, everything is dead after the 7th or 8th hit. Just like I said on another question a few posts back, that item gives the Anger weapon specials, which doubles attacks by both sides when you attac...
