I think the main problem is with the arms. Right now the look like they are attached to him, as opposed to growing out of his body. If you want to make his arms armored i suggest to make them brighter/shinier, like the helmet. About the scytheman: You should propably rework the proportions. I think the anatomy of the dragon looks strange. The distance from arms to legs if to big. I guess it would look more natural if it either only wings and no legs or if you make the body thicker, like the firedragon.

Really nice helmet on the 2nd unit. 4th, 5th and last unit could use some more shading on the capes. The black line on the 7th units should be less straight and maybe not as dark as it is now.
