Re: LordBob's commissionned work

Well, being rather ogre-ish in appearance and living in Alaska, I feel rather qualified on the subject of ogre skin colour. :lol2: Anyway, in the summer, I've noticed that people with very white skin get tan/sunburned, (20 hours of sunlight! Whoop!) and in the winter they get very pale-- this seems ...

I've downloaded it, but I have no idea where "Python executable path" goes to ._.
If you're on windows, you need to install python. (python.org). Otherwise it's something like /bin/python.

Re: Does anybody know how to change these effects and limits

I don't know how to change the limits, but I might try a [gold] tag paired with an [event] name=start. I haven't tested it though.

Re: How do I put enemies on mp maps

so how do i code a map even? In general, the best way to do this is to take something that already exists and modify it. Any existing MP map with WML effects should work. anyways I have some maps I want to put enemies on. [event] name=turn #Turn number [unit] side=#side number generate_name=yes#ran...

Re: What do you do in the real world?

I have to say, "hating jazz" would be like saying you "hate rock," jazz is pretty varied from corny garden variety jazz to crazy experimental stuff. It's a pretty far-reaching genre. I don't know, I seriously have met people who hate rock. As in, every single kind. Though that could just be because...

Re: Legend of Wesmere(Multiplayer)

Last I checked, the code's still there, though, interrestingly enough. If you uncommented it, you probably wouldn't get OOS errors.

Re: khalifate descriptions

I haven't played much with the Khalifate recently, but as I recall their forces are not as light and mobile as one would expect from a primarily nomadic society. Also, regarding the tribal council - 'Khalifate' means 'ruled by the Khalif' - and 'Khalif' in turn means (if I remember correctly) 'Desc...

khalifate descriptions

I filled in some missing descriptions for the khalifate. If anyone thinks their ok, I'll finish the set. I had to come up with something that allows them to exist in the default era, without allowing them in campaigns. This was tricky, as Wesnoth already has very diverse races, (drakes and woses com...

Re: LordBob's commissionned work

In the description of the ogre, it says that they look like humans, but are 'large and misshappen.' I'm not an artist myself, but those ogres seem a litle too symettrical.

Love the shaman, btw.

Well, it seems to me that mainline is very KISS, and are not add-ons for when you want something a little different? :lol2:

Re: install multiple versions on windows?

If you choose a custom install point, and don't create shortcuts, then you can have as many installations as you want. I had 3 back when I used windows.

Re: standard balancing of units at different levels ???????

Well, you have to consider abilities, weapon specials, proliferation of damage types/resistances, number of level ups, etc etc etc.

But in general, when a unit levels up it is supposed to be twice as powerful. Hence level 2 units costing twice as much as their level one counterparts.
