Re: Is a red mage worth it early in HttT?

As soon as you get 1 red mage, don't bother getting any more. I don't agree with that. I make all but one of my magi red and finish with six or eight fully leveled. I usually get one quick white mage for illumination purposes (just one because most of your units are neutral), but I do almost all my...

Re: OS Screen resized

I know this sounds kind of dumb, but I used to have this sort of problem on ubuntu (I use arch now) and it got solved by rebooting.

Re: Khalifate gameplay thread (feedback on balance and bugs)

That's why I didn't just spam Woses. :wink: Your replay is good, but it would be kinda better if you didn't play against the AI(any replays are useful, but vs AI are kinda less useful). Can you find someone to play with and post the replay? The AI can probably be beaten with plain wose spam(or elvi...

Against Woses, don't forget about the mighty Naffat. :eng:

Re: Is a red mage worth it early in HttT?

The faster you get your hands on a red mage, the happier you'll be. Although, as MRDNRA said, elvish sorceresses are much more usefull, mages seem to be easier to level to me. As soon as you get 1 red mage, don't bother getting any more. Don't forget how useful elvish shaman's slow is.

Re: increase hit% across the board

I got this code from BMR. I haven't tested it. The author of BMR probably wrote the macro, look in there somewhere.

Code: Select all

{FORCE_CHANCE_TO_HIT side=2 side=1 100 (
        [variable]
            name=turn_number
            less_than=10
        [/variable]
    )}

Re: increase hit% across the board

Well, you can certaintly increase the chance to hit using WML. I'm not sure how, though. IIRC there was something like this in the first scenario of bad moon rising.

Re: khalifate descriptions

Well, Noy wrote this in the official khalifate thread: The Khalifate emerged in the South Eastern reaches of the great continent. They were originally made up of settlers who moved into the Eastern hills soon after the exodus from the Green Isle. The area was extremely rich in metals, which drew in ...

Re: khalifate descriptions

Since I've waited a couple of days, and still got no responce on whether these are wanted, I made a couple of unit descriptions, and a slight edit to the racial description. :whistle: Muharib: More physically adept jundi are given further training and better weapons. The ability to wield sword and b...

Re: How to use planning mode

Enter planning mode and try it out. It's pretty intuitive.
To add an action, act like you were going to do it in normal mode.
To execute/delete actions, there's another right-click option, or you could press h/y (I can't remember which is which.)

Re: LordBob's commissionned work

LordBob, do we really need that one fang for the adult ogre? For me, it's not simply ugly, but makes the portrait unpleasant to look at :? Ogres are supposed to be unpleasant to the eye. It's not as bad as the ghoul, though. I personally like where you're going with the ogre portraits, they seem to...

Re: khalifate descriptions

First of all, sorry for not posting here in a while. Anyway, The root is "to follow" - so the khalif is someone who follows something or someone, historically the khalifs followed the prophet as leaders of the muslims but this is historical semantics not part of the word itself. I guess th...
