Re: Return to Noelren 0.7.6

I´m a fan of BfW, I like the philosophy, the environment, its thousand and one different sagas and the more classical style and game rules. However, I´m also fond of variety, creativity and innovation. Reviews like " extra-ordinary " or " fantastic stuff I've never seen before " ...

Re: Players’ Reviews

off-topic - ref Wiki-link Yeah, well I realized that these are different sites but didn´t know about this "random" thing. Thanks for the link to the locked topic "New Wiki". So, "http://wiki.wesnoth.org/" is the real BfW-Wiki and the necessity of creating a new user acc...

Re: Some questions about orcish society

Dugi , this thread is quite "old", you might not need further info about orcs. For the sake of completeness, I´ld like to add what the author of UMC Swamplings tells on the subject of orcish "mating" and Goblins, the 3rd orc category. I´ve no idea in what way personal writer opi...

Re: Players’ Reviews

Great ! Now, just one more question. (It´s the wrong place to post this but I didn't want to make a new topic elsewhere.) When I go to http://wiki.wesnoth.org/Guide_to_UMC_Campaigns/Players_Reviews the head of the page looks like the one of the BfW-forum. That´s why I didn´t think about a new accoun...

Re: Bad Campaign Elements

ahmannar , I´m well aware who I´m talking to and thank you for the time to "squabble" with a far less experienced player on a subject that the majority is emphatic about, sharing your point of view. I respect this, I can´t change it ... but once in a while I´m in the mood to point out tha...

Re: Bad Campaign Elements

This "thirst"-problem in UtBS part 2 ? The fact of desert-experts going out on a traverse of the wilderness without taking enough water along is already a tomato, isn´t it ? About the replacement of the loyal captain in part 3: My notes on this campaign are superficial, but the 2 enemies a...

Re: Players’ Reviews

Thank you, Crendgrim , this info helps. I´m confused when I read something like " I will do this or that " or "... the information needs to be verified " or the usual " This page was last modified on ..." without knowing by whom. So. I understand: Now that I got my Wiki...

Re: Players’ Reviews

Hi people, I just successfully messed up your review-page. At this point I thought it might be a good idea to read this feedback thread … at long last. Adamant14 ´s well explained " How to add a review "-post perfectly highlights my ignorance and the needlessness of my 2 earlier posts here...

Re: Players’ Reviews

OMG , I didn´t notice that a new account is required. First I only managed to get to this site by a link mailed from pyrophorus . After I finally found the direct UMC campaigns/Players reviews -link in the PLAY -section of the BfW-forum (where I rarely to dip into, mistaking me for experienced enou...

Re: My ally and his well located keep

Thanks for the feedback. I remember HttT- Chantal ´s castle as in remote areas, my Konrad never put her good will to the test . Sapient , I think only a developer knows about her kindness. In many campaigns, whenever in need, I have my leaders check on this recruiting option: Chantal IS an exception...

Re: Bad Campaign Elements

ahmannar , I do, of course, agree: In a replay the effect of any surprise is gone. So is the excitement about new units, maps, adventures ... direction and outcome of the whole story. The player can enjoy meeting old friends or clunking the enemy over the head again. Though the replay-value of a ca...

My ally and his well located keep

There is a hint in this Book of Tactic on the opening screen of BfW that says more or less: " Your commander can recruit/recall units in ANY castle … Allies can make room in their castle for you to recrui t." I never ever managed to chase an insolvent or passive ally leader away from his k...

Re: Bad Campaign Elements

Dear experts, At the risk of spoiling this interesting thread of knowledgeable people, I can't help posting my opinion here: [ The tomato surprise – People always agree that they are bad ... ] ? Not correct. I don´t. Never. I actually enjoy campaigns that have lots of them and feel even more challen...
