Re: The Fall of Bort

I love all the interest that has gone into this, and I believe I have come up with a rough draft of at least the first scenario and a bit of the after story. Once again, this is a community-created campaign, so any and all feedback is welcome. I would also like it if someone else who is skilled in W...

Re: The Fall of Bort

I love where this is going. However, I don't believe it is necessary to begin the campaign with more than two or three "main" characters (i.e. characters that are either important or have a role). If you worry too much about too many characters right away, then attention is drawn away from...

Re: The Fall of Bort

I think this is a good idea. I'd be glad to code one or two scenarios from time to time, but I only work irregulary. This seems like the perfect project for me, as long as others are willing to contribute too. :) What I think schould be discussed is the title of the kingdom. Bort does not really so...

Re: The Fall of Bort

I hope i'm not limiting things too much, but mercenary humans can be easily brought up in the "after the fall" period, as they might be humans that have been promised liberty in return for hunting the fugitives, or something like that. I like your ideas! The female lead seems like a nice ...

Re: The Fall of Bort

This is a good idea, however, and I don't want to sound negative, but your outline is vague. How would anyone know where to start? Maybe you can post this in the writer's forum to help flesh out the story first before people contribute scenarios. Or maybe you can create the first scenario and then ...

The Fall of Bort

THE FALL OF BORT Welcome to the official Fall of Bort thread! This is no ordinary campaign project. This campaign will be spearheaded by me with the input and content of other users. Here is the rundown of what FoB will be about and how it will be created, along with specifications that will be imp...

Re: Wesnoth 1.11.8

Also, when clicking on enemies, their move range doesn't appear anymore. This is the same as this: Is it no longer possible to view enemy movement range easily? Previously, highlighting them (or selecting) would show their movement range shaded properly. Unless I'm just being silly... That was addr...

Re: Wesnoth 1.11.8

While playing I noticed that side colors include villages and troops in the same color. This is not only pretty annoying, but it also makes me look at every dot in case it may be an enemy troop. Would it be possible to only make troops colored on screen, or to at least separate the colors for villag...

Re: Story of the Slimes

I've decided to revive this project back from the dead. After a long hiatus, I am now looking for those of you who would like to: 1) Create units that I will consider for addition into the campaign 2) Suggestions for new scenarios 3) Character suggestions 4) Map suggestions 5) Anything else you feel...

Alright everyone, here goes: 1021: you've been playing Wesnoth since v1.0 and realize that it gets redundant. 1022: This is how people eventually feel on the forums. 1023: I now feel like this when an "upper ranking person" decides to act like a tool by singling you out and showing their n...

Re: Movies discussion

Just got around to watching Pulp Fiction, and I've gotta say, I think Quentin Tarantino is one of my new favorite directors. Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs were great, but Pulp Fiction pushed it over the edge for me. Tarantino adds so many continuations into his movie that you'd have to watch all of t...

Footpads. Definitely footpads. Low HP, crappy attack, it's like lv. 1 fodder.

Re: Piko's random art

IMO (and this is the one thing I never understood about Wesnoth), the arms need to be a bit longer. Making the arms longer will make the legs seem a lot less long. The way the arms are now seem to make the waist and legs unequal to the torso.
