Re: Great Legend Era Campaigns

Hey, played some of your campaigns. I remember somewhere you asked for feedback on Wesfolk Prince so: Played up to the undead scenario. Its kind of fun, but it seems very very easy. Wesfolk mages dominate every other unit in your recruit unit, and every unit the enemy can field, so you just end up s...

Yeah thanks, you were dead on in both why I wanted it and how to fix it. SOL seems really good so far

What campaigns have a strong story?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but no other forum really seemed to fit either. I like some good story to go with my stratergy, though most campaigns are a little bare bones (drive off the evil invading guys, or move to this place and drive off the invaders until you can settle down, etc). ...

Re: Imperial Era Campaign - Epic of Vaniyera

Hey, I found this campaign hard, but playing on hard (because I hope I'm better than a novice) I can't get past Retribution. My recall mage has only lv 1 mages, a herald, a thunderblade about to level up, 1 Tempest. I know its a bit slim but I got through the other scenario withou ttooo much grief. ...

Re: 1.8 & 1.10 SP Campaign, Fate of a Princess

I always wondered, do you get anything for killing Colonel Lynx? I nearly had him, but Jill missed, and the enemy was almost on me, so i ran away. I felt bad fighting those 2, and the king's men in general, but hey the rare time you get to be a proper Villain Protagonist, you might as well roll with...

Re: Dystopia

Not quite sure to be honest. Maybe the second orc could back up the first orc?

3rd scenario was ok, it was the 2nd I found stupidly easy

Re: Dystopia

Played the first 3 scenarios, its pretty fun. The writing semes overly minimalistic though, and scenario 2 is REALLY easy, with 3 only taking me 2 attempts, once i knew i had to stop the first guy from recruiting ASAP. Scenario 1 was pretty interesting, I had to bait the enemy over rather than rushi...

Re: Estmark Hills lore (prospect for a new campaign)

This could be a heck of a lot of fun. I have a possible solution to the ruffian/werewolf thing, if the lv0 wolf promotes, he gets to turn into the Brutish Werewolf or the Quick Werewolf, and in human form would then change back to a thug or rogue, and vicea verca. If you don't want different wolf fo...

Re: HttT Text & Dialogue

Hey. In general I find your writing very good, and a huge improvement over the bland HTTwriting, but I do have a few issues: 1) As pointed out, the normal level dialogue in Siege still advocates rushing the enemy... this is not a good idea. 2) It still doesn't really make sense for them to let Li'sh...

Re: Scenario Review: DiD 1 - Saving Parthyn

You can win this level without any recruiting at all (even on hardest difficulty by sacrificing your loyal units). When you do, the dialog in this scenario is adapted, but the storyline and the dialog in the next one doesn't make sense. (You don't have to convince the people to let you back, when y...

Re: Strange Legacy - 1.9.7 Wesnoth Trading Sim

Played a bit of it (why is the icon in such an odd place?). The idea is intresting, actually reminds me of the trading in the Fabled Lands books (best gamebooks ever), but their seems to be no imtpetus for me to do anything other than run back and foruth between towns making money in repetive loops....

Id like to second Mach's comment. It appears nigh impossiable and is proably why you haven't had much feedback how are you supposed to beat it?

Re: Strange Legacy - 1.9.7 Wesnoth Trading Sim

Downloaded it on 1.9.9 and... it doesnt seem to work. The file size is unusally small and it doesnt appear on my campaign list. You might want to look into that

Edit: Yep I failed to notice the small icon wedged betweem Dead Water and Scepter of Fire
