Re: Glenfire Forest

Don't worry, when we start doing this we always make the same mistakes :) Feel free to ask whatever you want, and anyway I want to play the second scenario.
Only one thing 'bout the storyline, you do a twist between third and first person and it sounds quite strange. Do you know what I mean?

Perhaps it sounds stupid but... What is a DB's palate?

Re: Glenfire Forest

The problem was that the background image was lucicriously heavy. 11,9 Mb is quite silly, take a look to the official images before doing things like that but more than 150 kb per image sounds too heavy for me. Putting it to the right size and converting it to .jpg (which, BTW, is the official image...

Re: Art for Encounter with the Forgotten

Well, I see a important lack of articulations on this guys, even when they're not humans I don't see the point of giving them curve arms and legs. They wouldn't be able to move. HAve you considered the idea of giving them giant gears as weapons?

Re: Glenfire Forest

It was a nice challenge, I manage to finish it in turn 20 with 90 gold (more or less), 2 ambushers and one sharshooter (or whatever is the other 2nd advance for the archer :lol2: ). Maybe you can add a event with a elf coming to help (an loyal archer something like that). There enough and it's easy ...

Maybe he's talking 'bout DiD and he's asking someone to make a sequel... I don't know but this is what I understand.

Re: Tips for composition with abc2midi and timidity

The main problem you'll have to deal with is that Beethoven could write orchestal music that sound great but the rest of us aren't able to do that. What do I mean? In order to have a whole music piece that sounds filling, I mean, strong, dark, whatever you name it (english is not my mother tongue, s...

Re: Perseo's tryes (Can this portrait be painted?)

Well, I've been practising with GIMP and more important, I've been learning how to paint with a normal brush and acrilic paints, now I think I understand my error: painting with gimp is not a matter of using the bucket and the burn tool but the art of choosing the right colors and use tools like the...

Re: Tides of War

Well, I've beaten this scenario in the hardest difficulty and all I can remember is I managed to gain terrain in my turns, I mean, with my footpads (I only recalled a couple of levelled units) I kill two of his units and I fill the gaps and so on, after a while I was near enough to attack his leader...

Re: Kanzil's art

The problem is the plume is not well-separated from the helmet so they look like a whole thing which must be the hair. I guess you should do a more subtle plume without all this artifice. BTW the body is still wrong, maybe you should try to make a body without the arms and then add the arms and the ...

Re: Kanzil's art

I don't understand the sprite. Does he have a huge sword with little magenta hearts? The body is kind of a mess with all this bright colours and it's difficult to see the body shape and the problem is almost the same with the feather in his helm.

The dwarf seems to have a broken nose, you know, the part under the cloak seems to face westwards instead of continuing the nose line.

Re: Tips for a new player

@ Kymille - I think I misunderstood the term "slow". I thought it was about making a unit unable to move long distances for a turn or something xD. It also seems I've underestimated Shamans a bit by using/advancing them for the sole purpose of healing. Didn't know the game has a Drake faction. It s...

Re: What Operating System do You Use?

Well, after installing precise pangolin I would say that I used to use ubuntu, now I'll have to look for other version of linux coz I'm very disappointed with the direction of the latest improvements in ubuntu, I think they haven't understood yet that the future of OS is to take more advantage of th...
