As a UMC author, I find the atmosphere of wesnoth UMC development is pretty nice and similar to other hobbyist "clubs" of sorts. Because I haven't seen it raised yet, I just want to add that a random 7x damage increase would unbalance the game in favor of factions with cheaper (hence, more) units.

You might have expected to read about 1.11.3 in here, but this is not the case due to a micro AI bug which made the game crash. I decided it would better to not announce 1.11.3, have the guys work on things and possibly also commit some other stuff and get 1.11.4 out as soon as the issue was fixed....

EDIT - messed up version numbers, sorry. I assumed that version 10.6 referred to was actually version 1.6. The AI in 1.6 was not very good and slow as well. In 1.8 it was much the same but much faster. In 1.10 it improved slightly, but was pretty much the same. For future 1.12 there is a lot of work...
