Re: Team color problems
@homunculus: There is one problem with your approach, to quote [wiki=Team Color Shifting]the wiki[/wiki]: It's not just any magenta; it has to be from the following, very specific set: http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki-images/tutorial/team-color/colorswatch.png If you simply "shift to magenta",...

Re: Team color problems
(edit: this method would not work for teamcoloring units. would work for flags, though. clarified in the next few posts.) i must say i am a bit horrified reading all those instructions. i had the same problems before i started reading the forum here. what i did was this: 1) select (by color, in add ...

Re: Golden Mage
You are aware that if you desaturate the clothing, they will appear less colourful, right? [/grammar_naziness] yes, i am aware of that. right now they are both a similar shade of blue. but then white mage and mage of light would remain blue and silver mage would become more gray. as i understand, S...

Re: Golden Mage
[...]anybody can use it for anything.[...] i like silver mages, but when i am using them with the white ones, they look too much similar. if there was a version of silver mage with more desaturated and maybe more contrast clothing, i would replace my wesnoth core image files at once (that would qua...

homunculus's two pixels
about c&c : different people pay attention to and notice different things. so, if you see a flaw, or have a suggestion for different design, please do not hesitate to c&c. it is very likely that you will direct my attention to a flaw or a possible improvement that i didn't notice before, an...

Re: Descent Into Darkness Campaign: Ghast Revision
the previous version seemed to turn the belly to the side while stepping forward, rather than leaning back so much that it seems to be struggling to keep balance.
this is why, compared to the previous version, the latest version seems to lack strength in the bite.
also, why is the lipstick so pale?

Re: Frankensteined Orcish Grunt (+ idle animation)
being a newbie to wesnoth art, i am somewhat bewildered about the full plate armor of the orcs. afaik metal full plate armor should expensive and considerable skill would be needed to make it right. and also, the orcish portraits do not have full helms other than on level 3 grunts, so maybe the full...

Re: Portraits: Drake Fighter/Burner
the design is very nice but it looks like he's telling something like: "Dude, I'm not kidding. That fish was that large!" i like the blademaster portrait the most, especially the relaxed pose. it largely depends on the fighting style, and as for the 'large fish', there probably is a pose ...

permanent red shading on a unit [solved]
in a scenario, i am trying to do a really creepy undead general who raises corpses as skeletons rather than walking dead. but, as those skeletons have their flesh very recently ripped from their bones, i would very much appreciate if the skeletons had a red or pink shading. the same way that being p...

Re: Northerners flag
as for the skull-decorated flags, i have been thinking along similar lines. did a human head totem flag with flowing team-colored hair, and then did a wolf head totem flag with flowing mane. but when i tried them in game there were some ... integrity problems -- it looked too much different from the...

Re: Tet Treehouse
as for the horseman in a treehouse problem, afaik the treehouse would be more like a treehouse village , so putting a horseman, or a yeti, in a village does not necessarily mean putting it into a house. so, they did not want an elven village pasted into a tree. somewhat inspired by sprite dwellings ...
