Re: Tips on Character Weapons?

Im not saying that having good portraits are bad (in fact its quite the opposite. I love the mainline portraits. I sometimes bring up the campaign files just to see the amazing work :P ) All im saying is that if your making a campaign that might not get played much it can be nice to just make someth...

Re: Tips on Character Weapons?

The thing is that that is from looking closely at the portrait with the keen eye of an artist. Most people (including me) look at the portrait for about 2 seconds while playing the game and then read the dialog. So having the right lighting is nice (definetly needed for mainline) but frankensteined ...

Re: Tips on Character Weapons?

yes but it would still be much better than having this as a permanent portrait. Really its all a matter of opinion. I personally think the white mage looks ok!

Re: Tips on Character Weapons?

I actually think that frankensteined portraits are better place holders because they go better with the style of wesnoth, like if you made a hand drawn portrait (like i did) and had it talk to just a regular unit the differences in the styles of art would really just look stupid.

The handle of the kama is very hard to distinguish. Also you may want to make the handle a bit longer. It would be more realistic that way (and easier to see)

Re: TGI coding and stuff like that

Ok more work is done. Once again I have two problems. first of all why in the scenario The Dog Plains does the scenario not end once both tasks are accomplished? Is it something with the variables. Is it possible to not have a variable go to a set number but have it just go up by one? (e.g. after 4 ...

Re: TGI Artwork

Ok I did what you said but mine didnt turn out as good as Sgt. Groovy's. Did I do something wrong or is it because I use Gimp? Also There are still grayish pixels it seems like there are fewer though (I colored the hair green so you could see)

Re: TGI Artwork

ok yeah. Colorizing the one picture was a pain in the neck and it turned out terrible so that was pointless  glad I didnt waste my time on the necromancer. EDIT: I colorized the necromancer which was still a pain in the neck because of all the stray pixels. Now its time to shade. Would just sim...
