What are you talking about MetalKing? Arbitrary files? No, only save files, and Wesnoth can already access those. I find it hard to understand your post.

This suggestion would help units with low resistance the most. Units with high armor can't get many armor slots anyway using your system, and wouldn't benefit for most of their resistance types since it would still be capped at 50%. I have a save here where attacks with magical property got "70% damage" below them. Go into the shop and buy magical for the mages dagger attack, ALL those attacks with "70% damage" under them, got a second example of this. I would also point out that I have heard others complain of having such a problem with much less then this online, even though I remained relatively fine (presumably because my system is fast)

I don't understand what your saying, but I do know that 6 factors with bless as one causes this, and 5 do not, so I don't get why you are talking about 3 verses 4 multipliers since I see the difference happening between 5 and 6.

Anyway, is there any way this limitation might be fixed at some point?

Ok, you need SXrpg era to use this save. Just select your Master at arms unit then move your cursor over say the boss nearby(you don't need to actually click on any of them) This is because this unit has berserker and both units have high attack with lots of factors that modify said attacks. increasing the costs for negative resists is something i really must calculate over a bit at best i can take 20 gold for a neg resistance. What about making it take armor slots? You give people alot of armor slots anyway, more then enough to take care of a few weaknesses. in sx having 0 in a catego...

If I could direct the saves to a folder on a shared NTFS partition, wesnoth from linux and wesnoth from windows could easily share saves, and I wouldn't have to keep manually changing it (if the game remembers save locations so its pointed to the last directory you were using to save, next time you ...

As fun as manually placing saves back and forth sounds (especially in linux where it is all well buried in a long directory string) being able to do it in game would be much more preferable.
