Re: Issues of Gender

...like how the Irish for stallion is a feminine noun (O hi mountainking)... Hi Deusite! :eng: It gets better!! The word for "girl" is grammatically masculine! Good thing gender in Irish only affects spelling nowadays. Back on topic, this looks like it would be very valuable for many tran...

:o That reminds me, are you still planning on making an Ancient Greek/Persian etc. Era? If so, I suddenly had an idea for it yesterday. Let me know if you're interested. :)

Re: WesCamp question

Okay, I understand all of that except the first part, where I run wmlxgettext. I found it in data/tools, just like it should be, but I'm not exactly sure where to go from there. Should it be run by another program? The only time I've used wmllint was through the IDE editor made by timotei, which mak...

Re: Panther Lord (EoFM campaign)

For those of you who have already started in the campaign if you send me a save file for the start of your current scenario and tell me which units were suffering from the bug I should be able to fix the save and send it back to you with your units fixed. Back a couple scenarios but here's the one ...

WesCamp question

So, after you mark your campaign as "translate=true" in the .pbl file, and your campaign is in WesCamp for a month or so, do you need to create the .po files yourself or is it done automatically?

Re: Campaign art - Sceptre of Fire

Alternately, we could add an easter egg sign in the very first map that says "campaign shortcut : drop the ruby into this moutain stream". If the player does, he immediately jumps to an alternate epilogue which explains how that [censored] Alanin lived a decadent fifteen years before returning to w...

What I mean is: There would be copyright issues with a Mario campaign.
(forgive me for using google translate, but...)

Re: German Campaign

I think they already have an add-on with the same name, a coincidence maybe? :| Um... no there's not. I checked. You can make it all in German, and then there can be a translation into American English (I think...). :hmm: And I don't think (read: I know) you can't make a Mario campaign, c...

Re: Panther Lord (EoFM campaign)

I have the same bug as Konrad2. On leveling Daklo to guard he only gets 45% where he should get 60, and 55% where I think he would be getting 70%. The same happened to my serpent (lvl 2 whip dude). And what is your strategy on the level where you're fighting all the darklanders (the one after you sa...

Re: Panther Lord (EoFM campaign)

Hi! I started playing through the campaign today (easy difficulty hehe), and I must say, it's been quite well-done so far! I'm just on the third(?) scenario, after leaving the caves. Here's some preliminary thoughts: As this is my first time playing anything EoFM, I really like the South American st...

Re: The naming of wolves

They both mean wolf. Literally, mactíre means "son of the land" while I think faolchú literally means "wild hound." Note the "c(h)ú" is the hound part which is also in "Cú Chulainn" (The h is added due to Irish initial mutations). Culann's hound/hound of Culann.

EDIT: I had a dog named Blue once...

Re: The naming of wolves

If you want some foreign words that mean "wolf", you could use "Faolchú" and "Mactíre." They both mean wolf in Irish. :)

Weak/weakened units. I would bet if your hero was missing a single hitpoint the zombies would go after him.

Re: Era of Magic (EoMa) new Tharis graphics! 0.13.0 released

Hello again!
I did a retake on the EoMa translation for Irish: I had changed a couple terms in mainline (i.e. goblin) and carried that over to here. I also found some errors in my translations. They're fixed now.
