Re: Test of the Clans: Strategy
Sure do! And just to clarify, some of the advice I gave I didn't actually START the scenario with. The poison trick in particular I came up with when I realized how close my kill count was getting.Crow_T wrote:Very nice write up, do you have a replay as well?

Re: Defenders of the Crown (planning stages)
You haven't told much about your campaign plan. You have said that it will be about a war against misguided elves and what style will the campaign be, but that isn't anything you are likely to change based on somebody's suggestions. Fair point. Another aspect of it is that I might make it so that e...

Re: Defenders of the Crown (planning stages)
I'm flexible about it, whatever could plausibly fit into existing canon as I said, but preferably past the events of HttT.Paulomat4 wrote:The title sounds promising
It sound interesting, because of the unusual enemies.
Do you have a certain time in which you wan't this campaign to take place?

Defenders of the Crown (First beta ready)
Hello, and welcome to the discussion thread for my upcoming campaign, currently in the planning stages, called "Defenders of the Crown", a campaign where, in a huge change of pace, you play as the heroic loyalists against the evil rebels. Yes, the elfish rebels, those rebels. This story ta...

Test of the Clans: Strategy
Hey all, just managed to clear HttT's Test of the Clans on normal and get all four great knights, so I figured I'd share my strategy for doing so. Quick disclaimer: This strategy involves having every single land-based loyal unit available in the game except the Sergeant, all at maximum level . They...

Re: Why are skellies so resistant to cold?
I just heard from TVTropes that arcane was a secular replacement for holy magic that usually appears in this kind of setting because they didn't want to reference religion, but I know that's not all that it's used for.

Re: Why are skellies so resistant to cold?
I may be wrong, but I suspect a skeleton, while not IMMUNE to cold, can certainly take much more of it than a living creature can since it has no biological systems to maintain. I'm pretty sure you would die of cold long before you were capable of shattering, meaning that a skeleton can function in ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
I think you got that wrong ^^ Thats not the rules of the game wesnoth, its the rule of the world of Irdia :D different worlds, different rules :D also they were created by Yarae the master of both Light and Darkness, a being of so strong magical powers that you cant apply any rules on him :D Then T...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
They are not sensitive to magic, like the elves, the are careations of magic, created by beings so powerful you cant imagine. The are more close to being living magic then to be living beings made of magic you just cant say that they are the same as the races from Irdia, i mean there are from an ot...

Re: Siege of Elsensefar/Difficulty question
I agree that the thieves aren't much help. They are only really effective if you have some luck, and dead otherwise. However, three or four loyal assassins are nice to have around later on in the game. So, In Elensefar, I just have the thieves run away and stay out of danger. Yeah, the thing with t...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
I just read the description for the succubus out of curiosity and I noticed it said this: "Demons are creatures of magic, and arcane attacks have only a little effect on them." Just giving you the heads' up, that's erroneous. If you look at the special notes that appear on units with arcan...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Hey, uh, Dugi, is the "Equality" weapon particularly hard to make? Are opals hard to get in chapter 1? Because if not, I think it might be ludicrously overpowered. Its characteristics are such that it would more than double the attack power of a master at arms, and with Connor as a champio...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Just got Connor to become a champion (Loyal highlander duelist, dear god it's like you read my mind!), and I'm liking the champion look and how they play. The buckler is a tad odd considering the whole offhand crossbow thing, but holy cow is this guy a beast. He essentially gets an 80% accuracy atta...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Dugi, I think I'm in love with the elvish seer. It's such an awesome design, she looks badass and hot, and the faerie sabre is amazing. She's like a friggin' "friend to all living things" nature heroine who fights people with a magic lightsaber and is followed around by her beloved undead ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Have you tried it on the new version? In the modified version, the weaponmaster was still identified as Shadowalker by the game (it actually made Shadowalker look like Master at Arms and be named Weaponmaster), so Efraim is a Shadowalker again and it needs no changes to the save file. The easiest w...
