Re: Armageddon Drake

I'd say that looks pretty good to me. Great motion; if there's anything wrong with it I'm not skilled enough to tell you what it is.

Re: Zero's art. Gambit has this way of getting me to do art.

I don't really understand what the right hand is supposed to be. Multiple guns? A gun with exhaust ports (if so maybe you should change the color of the ports)? I think you could have a cooler, simpler effect by just going with a simple cylinder Megaman-esque gun. It's pretty cool. I think the exhau...

Re: Cave terrain

Looks fairly close to me.

Tracks have more than just wood and steel though. They're laid on something, which is most often a pile of gravel.

Re: Straight castle walls

I thought the castle walls were already straight? The only thing you seem to have done here is change the hex of a castle tile from flat on top to flat on the sides. This also is rather confusing visually, since the hex is still structured as flat on top in the game. The original castle tiles were a...

Re: Dixie's Internet Meme Era Newbie Francken Art

I personally think there's a point where a unit has TOO MUCH Team Color, and I think your Rappa and Koran are kind of toeing that line.

Re: Setanesh Faction (Art Thread)

More procrastinating.

EDIT: A new version with better legs.

EDIT: Forgot the other two legs  . Also, I made the highlight for the ridge better; it now looks more... ridge-like.

EDIT: Might as well remove the oldies.

dipsy, keep in mind that Frogger5 is doing this for you voluntarily.

I'm just gonna say that I agree with artisticdude on the headband highlights, but it's a pretty solid unit at this point, considering.

Re: Setanesh Faction (Art Thread)

You've improved a lot since you made those. The lighting and texture don't make any sense--I don't know if you feel like making that big an update to them right now, but at the very least you could give them outlines. I didn't make these from scratch; I based them off of a sprite that Wayfarer made...

I didn't identify the masks as masks until I saw the filename. I would suggest making them more obviously masks - my best suggestion would be to experiment with the size and shading.

The light seeker line is pretty cool.

Re: Setanesh Faction (Art Thread)

Alright, so I made some more differences in the Dryad line. They now have slightly different bark colors (purple for L1, blue-green for L2, grayish blue (very dark) for L3). I've also added in a general theme of the leaves from "summer" to "autumn." I realize it doesn't make much sense to keep the f...

Re: More B-movie era units.

That's much better as far as the medic goes. She still has a bit too dynamic of a stance, but it has nothing glaringly wrong about it. The warbot doesn't look like he's made out of metal because you haven't shaded him properly for him to look metallic. I could give you a few pointers, but my best su...

Re: Zero's art. Gambit has this way of getting me to do art.

The little variation in color makes it hard to distinguish parts of the unit unless you look closely. I would suggest making the coat, feather, etc. all different hues of red. As for the structure, the line between the brim and the cone of the hat needs more definition. I would say his pants seem a ...
