Re: Re: Swamplings - v1.1.7 - for 1.8 and 1.9
Thanks for your comments. Balancing this thing is a tricky business, I'm happy to see you had a positive experience with balance. I'm still tweaking the level 3 wolf riders, Cutthroat and Firefly. Many people have told me Cutthroat is overpowered. The jury's still out on Firefly, the unit has been t...

Re: HTTT-Underground Channels Development
Just some general impressions which will hopefully be helpful. I'm not sure why there are 25 villages on the map. Cutting this down will make it a bit more difficult. Also, the tents on top of the villages just look odd. Since the flying drakes are vulnerable to pierce, they'll be at a disadvantage ...

Re: Some Suggestions....
It's just a bulk of tiny text based links.... hmm.... :augh: I'm baffled by this complaint. You click on Links, you get links. And about ten links down is exactly the one you're looking for. How on earth is this difficult? As for what the developers are doing, just look at the development branch an...

Re: The Altaz Mariners - MP Campaign, out now!
Have you considered the possibility of an SP fork of this campaign? In the long run it might be easier than dealing with the erroneous bug reports from SP players who make one wrong click.

Re: Soliciting my Campaign: Is it allowed?
P.S. Is there a way to change my username? I have one I want to switch to... You can PM me if you want. It definitely is difficult to get good feedback on new campaigns. One method that has worked for me is to give feedback to others. Whether this works by magic or by karma or what, I don't know. I...

Re: Swamplings Art Thread - comments greatly appreciated
Thanks for the crit, I'll look at the coast again but I'm not sure I have the skill to round it convincingly-- the problem comes from using a base map that's really intended for a continent and using it for a much smaller area. I don't really think you're near a final version for the cutthroat. Even...

You could try a slightly lighter shade of gray on the level one. Also consider giving the level 2 a cap or some other headgear.

Re: Swamplings Art Thread - comments greatly appreciated
The timeline places the Wesfolk migration at 200BW and this campaign is set in 400BW, so that's a good point, a cartographer of that day would have some other name for the continent. On the other hand, no one is playing the campaign in 400BW so the map just might come from a later era. In fact, let'...

Re: Campaign art - Sceptre of Fire
Since there's a preference setting that lets you pick which direction the sun moves, maybe there ought to be an anthropomorphism slider too--on one end you'd have talking gryphons and the sceptre would sound like Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast. On the other end, saurians would just be spiny lizards...

No, a siege is a military operation in which enemy forces surround a town or building, cutting off essential supplies, with the aim of compelling the surrender of those inside. Nothing to do with a throne. (edit: in the english language, I mean)

I've been working on a mappenstein, or maybe it's a frankenmap, of the Swamplings quadrant of the Old Continent. Here it is-- as always, comments are greatly appreciated.
