Variable Tags--Seem to Work When They Feel Like It

It's driving me nuts. I've looked at other campaigns, and their variable tags have the same format as mine. Let's say that in the first scenario we set all variables to "0", so if an event does not happen, it will be carrying a variable. Then we have this simple if-then-else. [if] [variabl...

Re: Is it possible to do this, and if so, how?

Best solution, If I understand what you want correctly, is to store the unit in a variable and then unstore it next scenario. It unstores them where you stored them--unless you unstore them at the end of the scenario, so that recalling them drops them off like a normal recall. If you want to unstor...

Re: Case of the Missing Scepter

edit: well, maybe you should think about those fire drakes again. the leader of that castle is going to suicide into the players forces before anybody can get them. edit2: in "Bay of Pearls" there is still "Sqeegy" left on the recall list after "Sqeeky" did leave. edit...

Re: Case of the Missing Scepter

I've played through to the swamp scenario and enjoyed it a lot. It's very imaginative. In the swamp, just Squeeky and Gongadin appear and neither can recruit troops. There is a message saying that Squeeky has appeared with some troops, but there is nobody with him. Unless I am missing something, th...

Case of the Missing Scepter

Case of the Missing Scepter (version 0.1) is the bare bones of a campaign. The finished campaign will have a Fallout style ending with 400X300 jpg's depending on options you have picked during the game. Right now, it is rather linear, just one battle after the next without thinking about the best et...

Re: Broken dependencies when installing Wesnoth in Ubuntu Gutsy

I had the same error using Kubuntu 8.04, except I could not find it on Synaptic Manager. I had to download and compile from http://www.boost.org/ Not too sure what Boost does, but it about 200Mb in size. As for the newest Ubuntu 9.04 version, I would not upgrade to that seeing how many people are po...

Re: NOTRAIT_UNIT Gives Tag Errors on Different Scenarios

Doing a grep -r on my own campaign did help. I had been using NOTRAIT_UNIT throughout. It caused a problem because it was inside the [side] tags.

NOTRAIT_UNIT Gives Tag Errors on Different Scenarios

Has anyone run into missing tag errors on Wesnoth 1.6 (Linux) because of the NOTRAIT macro? Example 15_scenario.cfg has this {NOTRAIT_UNIT 2 Woodsman 14 11} causes an error message about 03_scenario.cfg, usually a tag missing error. It's odd [CLUE], because I can use this in the first scenario, but ...
