Re: A Battle For Wesnoth Miniature Wargame

:? Most people (and presumably everybody playing this) have calculators and computers (or, if the point of this is to be able to play BfW without a computer, cell phones) to do their multiplication for them. Having been a tabletop gamer for a while, I know that if you need to bring a calculator to ...

Re: A Battle For Wesnoth Miniature Wargame

Any damage modifier like resistance, TOD, or leadership should be made into a flat modifier that either applies to each strike, or to the overall damage done to simplify calculation… Not really trying to shamelessly plug my tabletop game, but in the advanced version of my game, I planned on changing...

Re: The History of Wesnoth Forums

Well, the old forums auto-censors had quite the sense of humor as can be seen with my first encounter with them here. Sadly, the censors got changed, which ended up changing my original message, but the guy below me who quoted me caught the original, unaltered censor… :lol2:

I don't think it has… we did have a few boardgames suggestions here and here, but I believe that's about it…

Re: Please mark your private games...

When you get kicked from an unmarked private game or shifted to an observer slot without warning, you could say something to the host. Maybe suggest that they password their game or change the game name if they're not interested in having people join. Politely, of course. Awesome! This is a great i...

Re: news and current events?

I don't know what saddens me the most; the loss of life or the flood of ignorant comments on public sites like youtube or facebook… :x

Re: Please mark your private games...

Hmm, looks like we have a bunch of nice solutions to our problem here. Now if only there was a way to make people who don't visit the forum aware of those…

Re: screenshots question

I get absolutely nothing upon pressing the screenshot button (or the print screen button ---nothing to paste). However, if dialogue or the scenario objectives screen isn't up then I can take screenshots. I can even take them with the recruit list up, but not if there's dialogue. :? Hmm, that's odd…...

Re: Chess-like game for kids

Nice idea, but since it's supposed to be a kid's game; kittens and bunnies, KITTENS AND BUNNEHS! lol.

Re: Naga Lore

Sorry I'm a bit late to teh discussion… They're on good terms with the saurians, for one thing. They've been seen trading with them in Rise of Wesnoth. Similar "Naga + Saurian" team up has also been seen in The South Guard. Yes, while I am aware that this is just another instance of naga/s...

Re: FIRE!!!!

Few new turn events, few terrain filters, few [terrain] tags, easy. It would probably majorly unbalance mainline though - imagine drakes attacking villages (set on fire, destroyed), then imagine forests (set on fire, destroyed, goodbye elves' best terrain). Hmm, interesting… So let's say, if you wa...
