Re: Fighting Orcs: Tips?
I have to disagree with HomerJ here, because the AI will line up suicide attackers in order to take out an important unit. It has happened to me on many occasions where a unit kills 2-3 units, but they keep filling a hole and doing damage until finally the friendly bites it. Of course there are alw...

Re: Fighting Orcs: Tips?
One hint that I keep repeating to inexperienced campaign players: Hurt but don't kill. To elaborate, especially against orcs you face mostly melee opponents. Since every of your units has a melee weapon, it can be very efficient to just weaken enemies to low health, and then let them suicide on thei...

Re: [mainline] Undead trait and healing
The only thing limiting what a skeleton can or can't do is magic. A skeleton is held together with dark magic, it is harmed by light or arcane magic. Arcane magic is the same type of magic White Mages use to heal living creatures. This of course means Undead should be UNhealed by being adjacent to ...

Not sure who wrote it way back then, but the discussion was about how units were able to communicate over vast distances of a map.

The closest implementation of weather in mainline is the MP scenario Dark Forecast. Check it out.

Re: Scenario Review: NR 2 - Infested Caves
taptap, AxalaraFlame, I have watched both of your most recent replays and found them quite entertaining. taptap, good job on the most promising migration approach, things looked grim in between but you struggled out of it like a boss. My only irritation would come from the fact that you rarely used ...

Re: Difference in difficulty settings
Is the only difference between easy, medium, and hard the time you have to complete scenarios? Or does the computer have a stronger AI, or stronger units in harder settings? Rob It can be a number of things, the first ones that come to mind: Turn limit Starting gold Enemy gold Enemy recruits (as in...

Some kid sitting on his PC, playing BfW, complaining all the time about the rng. Suddenly he's sucked into the game world and having an adventure to find a mage who can send him back home.
I'd still watch it though...

Re: Glimpses of the future in dreams
Looking at a LED display, the numbers change chaotically in a dream. I noticed it, but it never made me realise anything, I didn't consider it strange. Yes, I only could use this once and only after having read about this "reality check". The hands worked more often, but once again, only ...

Re: Glimpses of the future in dreams
... Thanks for this, always nice to see people being rational. :D About the lucid dreaming, if you ever are questioning if you are in a dream or not, for me two things usually help: Looking at my hands, the fingers can't be seen separated clearly in a dream. Looking at a LED display, the numbers ch...
