Re: Play older versions?

I think they all were on sourceforge, but it is down really often these days. If you can't get them from there you can try internet archive's wayback machine

Nightly flatpak builds

A nightly build of wesnoth master branch is available as a flatpak package now. Flatpak is a new package format for linux distros that allows distro-independent releases as well as runs applications in a sandbox for security. You can check here how to set it up on your distro. The procedure to insta...

Re: Wesnoth Inc Board Members -- Request for Nominations

One of the people on the board will be appointed treasurer. This person will have direct access to and responsibility for our financial accounts. This person must be a US citizen. Could you get rid of that requirement? I for sure don't want to be absolutely dependent on US for stuff like that, and ...

Re: Wesnoth2, Wesnoth, Inc, and other things

- We want to drive more experimentation and rewarding of new ideas in Wesnoth2. We want to try new game mechanics. New approaches to presenting storyline. New graphical effects. In Wesnoth1 there has been a problem where the amount of prestige associated with a developer is how long they have been ...

Re: Wesnoth 1.12.6

The behavior you're seeing looks more like 1.13 dev release and not 1.12.6 . At least 1.12 doesn't have a button to get paths.

Re: Selection criteria for UMC Pack Project

To say short: status quo is insufficient. In the situation of poor interface of the add-ons server and very poor feedback flow authors can simply lose enthusiasm (and this game survives only because it provides a space for creation). There is a little hope that something would be mainlined in near ...

Re: Selection criteria for UMC Pack Project

There already is a way for developers to endorse a campaign: by mainlining it. Any "developer approved" pack would be wholly redundant considering that wesnoth already contains a builtin pack of campaigns. Most of current "official" campaigns started as UMC that got mainlined wit...

Re: How to compile with scons on Windows V1.3.8/Linux Mint

I've committed a change that makes scons pass -F pe-i386 for multilib 32bit builds. Also I've uploaded my current dependency archive for dev branch. It contains SDL2 too.

Re: How to compile with scons on Windows V1.3.8/Linux Mint

I used TDM mingw-w64 5.1.0 from http://tdm-gcc.tdragon.net/. I added multilib_arch option to scons to make 32-bit binaries since mingw-w64 makes 64-bit binaries by default. multilib_arch=32 would pas -m32 both to compiler and linker. I also upgraded boost to 1.59. Didn't get any errors with this set...

Re: 3. bug #23026: Crashes when sound is enabled

There's new stable release soon and I'll replace vorbis dlls there with those from Codeblocks SDK then.

Re: 3. bug #23026: Crashes when sound is enabled

I already don't remember where exactly I took windows dev files for vorbis but it was probably their official dev release. Or from some other SDK that happened to provide it. I can build my own but I'll have trouble reproducing this bug I bet. I'd appreciate if you determined which combination of SD...

Re: Chrome flags wesnoth-1.12-win32.exe as malicious

Whether I'm not paid or not is irrelevant in this situation, since even "classic" commercial software companies provide installers only nowadays some using this same NSIS. And such issue would result in exactly the same response from them.

Re: Chrome flags wesnoth-1.12-win32.exe as malicious

No. There's also MacOS releases. And all linux distros package wesnoth too. Neither of those uses NSIS. So maybe consider using a different OS :P I'm considering to switch to something other than NSIS to generate the installer. To something like WiX maybe. But it'll take time. Also, I could distribu...
